i love to get the ultimate combo. all the veggie options are vegan and can be made vegan. there are a lot to choose from. it’s all so flavorful and perfectly spiced. the people working there are always super friendly. i love the atmosphere and artwork too

The kitchen accidentally sent us meat sambusas instead of lentil ones (thankfully it was easy to tell before eating any!) and when we sent it back the server and the chefs were so apologetic that they gave us an extra sambusa and added potatoes to our amazing feast platter! The potatoes ended up being one of the best things we tried, although every single thing was delicious! Definitely will be back.

A Real Cultural Experience - Edit
This place is awesome. Has rich cultural artwork surrounding the establishment. Owner is super friendly. Vegan options were fulfilling. Enjoy how we all eat off of one large plate. I don't go to restaurants and expect people to wear masks, if I'm concerned about that I'll eat at home. I only require gloves.

I feel that I just seen one of the owner sister wearing a dress that was not fully zipped up on the side and that the more people came that's when decided to wear a face mask and I feel that the kitchen staff needs to wear hair net so I don't have food that I cannot eat because there's hair in it very disappointing

Strange, I eat there frequently and have never experienced anything like that. I wonder if you were prejudice against the minority ran establishment. I say that because I've met the owner a few times and the patrons and have never heard of a review as bad as yours. Amazing!!!

We eat here at least once a month. Everyone there is super friendly and knowledgeable about vegan options. The ultimate veggie combo can be made vegan, and it is an absolute must! The portions are large, it's filling, the flavors are so delicate and well balanced. There is an option to add potatoes. Add the potatoes! They are o e of favorite parts of the combo. We have ordered this at least 15/20 times by now, and it is always consistent in flavoring and portion. Get the coffee, get the spices tea, get all the things. This is definitely o e of our favorite places in Pflugerville. #Veganuary

My (meat eating) family and I went here for lunch and loved it! I ordered the Yemisir Wot and it was wonderful. The server asked me if I wanted it prepared vegan and kept it separate from the meat dishes my family had ordered. For dessert we had Baklava and Ethiopian coffee which were so incredibly delicious. All in all, a very nice experience. I would rate 5-star if I could but that option is only available for fully vegetarian places on this app.

We loved Taste of Ethiopia!!! Even though it’s nearly an hour drive from our home, we will be returning. We ordered the ultimate combo with the added steamed potatoes. and it was so worth it. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, the vibes of the restaurant are welcoming, and the food was wonderful. My only complaint was that there was a little bit too much oil on our meal but I can live with that!

Delicious food and a staff who understood our vegan requests - you DO need to specify that you don't want butter on the vegetarian dishes. They're more than willing to accommodate. The inside restaurant is small but the patio is too warm (in July) but it just shows how good they are that they were full at lunch!

We arrived for lunch on a Saturday. We'd heard they offered a vegan buffet between 11-2am. Unfortunately the review didn't mention it was only offered Monday through Friday. We sat down to their menu that seemed to have as many vegetarian items on it as meat dishes. We were even more thrilled to find a Sampler platter and the "Ultimate Combo". The sampler provided 5 of the vegetarian menu options on it and the Ultimate added a 6th for under $20. The flavor combinations were amazing and we left there feeling full, yet not heavy.
Read moreOn the service side of the house the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We could have easily sat for an hour chatting after out with no pressure from the staff. They were attentive, but not obtrusive and somehow made us feel like a valued customer who frequented the place all the time.
