Good vegan Thai Food Options - Edit
Many options of western and Thai vegan food. We had the Tom Kha soup, spring rolls, mushroom satay, spicy fried cauliflower, pad see ew, papaya salad, and red duck curry over two visits and enjoyed all of it.

They have a lot of different meals. Most are Thai plates, but they have some western food as well and really good desserts. All I had tasted very good. Friendly staff. Definitely recommendable!

Great place for lunch - Edit
Six of us met here for lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed our dishes.
Read moreService was excellent - a lot of English spoken which made questions and ordering easy. The menu is large with Thai and Western options. Quantities were quite large and filling enough for us for a luncheon meal.
I truly enjoyed the Northern Thai Curry dish with brown rice. The spiciness was just right (we were asked about mild, medium or hot), the flavours delicate and the taste delicious. My husband had the yellow curry with brown rice. Together our meals were 210 baht (no drinks other than tap water).
While I cannot comment personally on the other dishes, everyone said they enjoyed what they ordered.
Prices were a bit higher than we would normally pay in Chiang Mai, but the restaurant is just inside the old city, and popular with tourists; hence the higher prices.
Pros: extensive menu, delicious flavour and good portions, easy to locate
Cons: prices a bit higher than our normal costs

Nice but not OUTSTANDING - Edit
I loved their Hawaiin fried rice and their penang curry was nice too but there was TOO much of veggies and LESS gravy. Tried to let the staff know but was difficult to get it across due to language barriers.
Read moreTheir mushroom skewers were TOO bland but the accompanying peanut sauce was great (but less in quantity).

Just average - Edit
It is ok depending on your expectation, however we are not enthusiastic about. Friendliness cannot compensate missing taste. Food too much westernized for tourists. For original thai food better to go to another place.

Huge menu for vegans & veggies - Edit
You will be spoilt for choice at this place with the huge variety of dishes on offer. I tried the vegan breakfast set and brownie & ice cream which were all amazing. Especially loved the dessert; it's definitely one of the best vegan desserts I've had.

Yum! - Edit
Wow! If you're in Chiang Mai make sure to check this place out - hugggge menu that is mostly vegan.
Read moreWe tried the money bags (amazing!), pumpkin curry and the infamous red duck curry. If you're a fan of curry, do yourself a favour and order the red duck curry! The portion sizes are generous and the food is delicious! We had the butterfly pea tea and butterfly pea lemon drink which is yummy and has a vibrant blue/purple that needs to be seen to be believed.
Staff were friendly and attentive. This place has multiple stores for a reason, check it out!
Pros: Huge menu, Lots of vegan options
Cons: None!

Vegan Duck Red Curry to Die For! - Edit
I have been coming to Taste of Heaven for years and is my first port of call when I land in Chiang Mai. Their newest addition to the menu, a vegan duck red curry is amazing. So flavourful and just the right portion size. The staff are always lovely and the WiFi is reliable for catching up on the odd email during a lunch too.

Go here! - Edit
I've eaten here so many times, wow. For most of the things they have vegan options, and they're really tasty. Try the Khao Soy! Employees are sweet, and prices are very great for a veggie restaurant (although this one is less 'hip' than some others, so I think that's why the prices aren't crazy high).
Read moreSome international and some Thai dishes, great range of choices. If you want great Thai vegetarian/vegan meals, I recommend to eat them here, since you'll be sure they won't use the animal products that you don't want to consume and it's going to be really tasty anyway haha.

Much preferred Vegan Heaven - Edit
Of course I love any restaurant with as many vegan options as this place had, but I wasn’t crazy about what I ordered, which was the chicken burger. It didn’t taste like chicken, or much of anything, really. My husband really liked his pineapple fried rice though, and the Thai iced tea was really good. The building that it’s in is dingy and old and the route to the restroom is pretty scary. I recommend going down the street to their other restaurant, Vegan Heaven, which has the same food in a nicer setting.

Best Vegan Resto in Town - Edit
Love this restaurant. They have two vegan locations, and 1 vegan/vegetarian location. This one is their vegetarian location so make sure to see if the dish is vegan or can be made vegan. They have both western and thai food. Although I much prefer the thai food since I did come to Thailand for that. I tried so many things on their menu and all was good. Banana blossum salad, pad see ew, massaman curry, pumpkin curry, pumpkin stir fry, khao soi, ice cream. All delicious.

Good western breakfast - Edit
Had one of the set breakfasts here, as I was craving some western food. Good flavours, but needed to add some ketchup as the plate was a bit dry. Server was happy to swap the eggs for some mushrooms on request. I found the service at their other location, Vegan Heaven, to be a bit friendlier.

Homemade Chocolate Brownie is Heaven Indeed - Edit
I've eaten here many times, the menu is really nice, lots of options from western food to thai food, this is a very popular restaurant, staff are really nice, the food is really good, but I have to say, the homemade chocolate brownie is heaven on earth, I would come back to Chiang Mai just so I could eat that brownie again.

Just don't. I don't think this restaurant / kitchen has ever seen cleaning products. It makes me shudder just thinking about it. We ordered a wrap, fries and onion rings. They clearly haven't changed their oil in years as the fries and onion rings tastes absolutely disgusting.
