Yummy & authentic! - Edit
Cute lil hole in the wall. You have to go in or call to order. I got the veggie burrito and veggie enchiladas without cheese. So flavorful. Exciting to see authentic spots like this make their rice beans animal-free.

Friendly, Tasty, Cheap, and Understands Veganism - Edit
There is no online ordering, so you have to call. When I asked for the veggie tacos, the owner immediately asked "with or without cheese". This was nice because i was distracted and probably would've forgotten. When i went to pick it up, he included a cup of their vegan green chili (not listed on the menu). He said that since they're operating in the neighborhood they are, they've completely reworked their menu to remove animal products from the rice and beans, as well as providing vegan green chili (note: they also have meat green chili, so you have to specify).
Read moreThe food was delicious. The service was great. And best of all, 5 decent sized street tacos were $11. Not bad for this part of Denver.
I'd rate 5 stars, but Happy cow says that's for veg-only businesses.
Pros: Good Value, They verify whether vegetarian or vegan, Delicous

Incredibly nice owner and family! Authentic but with a delicious veg menu. - Edit
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! They were so kind, friendly, genuine and very knowledgeable of all things vegetarian and vegan. They have a separate vegetarian menu that is clearly marked and explained that the only things with animal products are the optional cheese. My wife had the vegan tacos (large plate for only 8 or 9 dollars) and I had the vegan smothered burrito and rice. A

Finally some refried beans without lard! - Edit
I ordered a simple smothered bean burrito with tomato and avocado on top. Our waiter was fantastic and very helpful with making modifications to certain dishes. This restaurant was nothing fancy, just a nice home-cooked meal that hits the spot.

Leaves much to be desired - Edit
I wanted to like this place, especially based on the 4.9/5 stars on Google reviews, but I'm not impressed. The restaurant appears to be pretty dirty. The chips were stale, the lemonade was watered down, and the service was almost non-existent even though we were the only table. My husband and I ordered a bean and rice burrito, which was nothing special. The green chili sauce was pretty good, but the burrito as a whole was average at best. Definitely not worth the money

Maybe I'm missing something but I did not see any vegan offerings on their menu. I ordered a bean tostada and vegetarian green chili. While ordering I expressed that I did not want any dairy (cheese or sour cream) or meat. When my food arrived there was a mound of cheddar cheese on my tostada and sour cream swirled through the chili.

Friendly, Authentic - Edit
This small diner is home to very authentic, reasonably priced Mexican food. The owners are warm and laid back. They have been in the restaurant business for over twenty years and at the 32nd Street location for four years (as of January 2017). I learned all of this on just one visit--as I said, the owners are friendly.
Read moreWhile there is meat extensively on the menu and a pork salsa provided (free) with the tortilla chips, they do not use lard in any cooking and most any item can be made vegan (or vegetarian) upon request AND they are happy to accommodate your request, no judgement or weird looks. :) Would give five stars if the rating-system allowed for it for restaurants that are not 100% veg.
In addition, they have gluten-free considerations and a wonderful horchata.
Pros: Delightful vegan green chili; Authentic Mexican, Reasonably priced, Friendly
