Good vegan options - Edit
Staff knows what veganism is and are helpful. I had nopales and mushroom tacos. Salsa is HOT and flavorful. Rice is vegan, but the beans contain meat.

is is quite difficult to find vegan options on Isla mujeres. fortunately there are a few local restaurants that offer vegan dishes, like this one.

the place is not too fancy, but rather a simple local Mexican Taqueria.
They have just a few vegan dishes, like taccos with mushrooms or cactus and guacamole.
if you order the taccos, you have different things you can add, like rice, cucumber onions and sauces.
the spicey sauce is really spicy, be careful with that!
since it's a local restaurant, the prices are also local prices. per tacco you pay 24 pesos.
I was quite happy with the taccos, they were well made and filling!
Pros: cheap, supporting locals, run by lovely people
Cons: not a vegan restaurant, opens only at night
