Very disappointing

Tanatan Gujarati Food / (Vegetarian Indian) 175/9,M-10,Paratamnak Road | Nong Prue, Banglam / (2nd Road two blocks south of South Pattaya rd. on the west side, beside Family Mart)
666-202-10806
They have Thali
Clean / AC / Good service / Seating for 16 people
Menus have no photos so unless you know Indian food you are just guessing. They do have pictures of about 14 items pinned to the wall above one table.
Pricing is all over the place. From outrageously high on some items down to about normal for Pattaya Indian places with others.

We decided to each go for a Thali at 250B (That is a high end price for a Veggie Thali. I have been to at least 20 different Indian Restaurants in Pattaya and all but 3 of them are priced between 130B to 240B for their Thali. The ones in the 240B range are classy restaurants and they serve big Thalis. Of the 3 that are priced higher than 240B they are all very large Thalis and along with the standard things included they add things like appetizers, desserts and a drink such as a tea or lassi) So needless to say we thought we would be getting a good sized meal.

This is what is in Tanatan Thali > 4 roti, 2 veggie dishes, 1 dal, rice, salad, and papad (First time I have ever got a Thali that had no yogurt with it)

I had asked for NO spice but two of the mains were so spicy I could barely tolerate eating them. The mains were all tiny. Two of them were literally only 4 spoonfuls each! The little bit of rice that was served was overcooked, stuck together and mushy. The roti were undercooked and doughy inside. We left hungry and finished eating elsewhere.

They also had a Tanatan Special on the menu for 450B, yes I am not joking 450B for roti, 3 veggie dishes, dal, rice, salad, papad, sweet, farsan, and buttermilk or a lassi.

Here is a listing of some of the up and down pricing: Lassi 100B, Water 20B, Juice 80B, Samosa 150B, Onion Bajiya 160B, Rice 80B, Gulab Jambu 80B, Veggie dishes 140B to 180B, Paneers 180B to 200B

If you ever risk eating at this place I hope you have a much better experience than we did. Who knows maybe they will change.

My suggestion > it is Pattaya there are many very good Indian places to go eat at. Try some place else.
