Nice

A really lovely venue, but only one vegan option which was Tempura eggplant. It was nice, but not delicious. Then again, I’m not a fan of eggplant.

Delicious!

As others have said, there was only 1 option on the menu, but it was delicious! I found it quite filling as well. The restaurant as a whole was lovely and the service was great too.

Good to have an option

Only one option and not overly filling if you're hungry (only like 4 pieces of potato) but it was tasty.

Very tasty vegan option

There’s just the one option at Tamarind House, the Tempura Eggplant which was super tasty and a decent size (was a main).

Pros: Tasty food!, Atmosphere is great, beautiful setting , Staff are really lovely

Cons: Only one option which is a main, No vegan entrees or deserts

Brilliant location!

The view was spectacular, this was a great experience with nice food and a great vibe overall. The actual building that this restaurant is located in is beautiful!

Plenty of vegan options!

A few vegan options and meals that could be made Vegan. I had the salad to start and it was delicious!! For main I had a curry and they had homemade vegan ice cream for dessert! Beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere.

One choice, but tasty and nice setting

Disappointed to see only one thing item on the menu that was vegan - an eggplant stack. Took me back to the 90s when that was 'standard' vegan item, so I was not inspired. Ordered it anyway with a side salad.
It was delightful with tofu replacing the cream cheese, capsicum, zucchini.
The setting is beautiful and a great vantage point to watch the sun go down.
In Raro, I did find good vegan food not so easy to find - so I would recommend going for a special meal - the omnis will love it but don't expect anything more than the stack to eat.

Not great for vegans...

Called 3 days ahead to book a table and to inform the chef that I was vegan as was suggested on their website. On the day, the only vegan option that they had on offer was a starter.

Pros: Incredible views, Beautiful gardens

Cons: Expensive , Not great for vegans

Thoroughly enjoyed dining here!

My partner and I enjoyed our evening at Tamarind house. The location is lovely, especially when the sun is setting! The staff were very friendly and helpful. We ate here because we had heard there were vegan options. The only downside was that although there was a starter that had a vegan option (roasted vegetable stack with tofu) there wasn't actually a main course that was vegan or that could really be made vegan. It wasn't an issue as I made it a main by ordering sides but I felt pretty restricted in what I could eat and it was very very similar to a dish at The New Place (I suspect they might be owner by the same people?)
It was, however, very tasty!!! My partner who is vegetarian had the vegetarian lasagne and really enjoyed it too.
This isn't your place to go if you want a few options, but it's definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere and general feel. It felt very romantic :)

Pros: Lovely atmosphere, yummy food, helpful staff

Cons: lack of vegan/veggie options
