You can’t miss at this all plant based restaurant. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty and plentiful. You can get everything as a platter or sandwich or bowl. I love love the fried eggplant sandwich, it is delicious and satisfying

Delicious Falafel wrap - Edit
A quick visit after walking through Central Park. It was freshly made, and quick service, and delicious! All three of us had the falafel wrap with pickles and spicy sauce. A big queue after we had ordered with what looked like locals, so I always think that’s a good sign!

Fantastic falafel - Edit
I got the hummus bowl with falafel. They gave me six falafel! (Most places seem to only give five.) It comes with a pita and it was too much food to eat in one meal! A number of veggie and add-on options you can select from their list to deck out your bowl. Thanks to another reviewer you mentioned being given some falafel that had been sitting there for a while and some that had just been made, I asked to wait until the batch currently in the dryer was done and just have those ones- which they accommodated. They were excellent. I wanted to try the cauliflower side dish but was too full!

That eggplant tho! - Edit
This place was truly delicious. Simple, flavorful, and the eggplant was literally out of this world. The crisp and the flavor. We had an eggplant hummus bowl and a falafel sandwich. Both five stars. Cauliflower was closer to four stars though. Do not miss that eggplant.

Happy to have spontaneously stumbled up on this place. I had the Falafel Platter and everything was fresh and tasted good. The portion was perfect for me and I especially liked the pits bread! Quick and easy!

Meh, 2 good falafel and 2 bad ones - Edit
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but I got the Hummus Falafel bowl which is basically a bowl of hummus, some falafel and toppings, and a piece of pita to scoop with. Food came quickly, and they have a small indoor and outdoor eating area.
Read moreKnocking a star off already since they don’t give cups of tap water. Anyways, the food was pretty good, nothing too special, with overall above average hummus.
HOWEVER, it drives me up the wall when a highly-rated place with “fresh falafel” gives me 2 old ones which were already fried some time ago, and 2 new ones which are freshly fried. Then they are there in my bowl, right next to each other, and it’s incredibly obvious which one is fresh and which one is old, and one is obviously better than the other. I’m already paying $18 for this food, can’t you just give me 4 fresh falafel?? I don’t care that they were only fried 10-20 minutes ago, I just want all my falafel to be crunchy and fresh, rather than only half of them (obviously I was NOT gonna be an ass and demand new falafel from the workers).
But still, ridiculous move on their part, so scummy when I’m already paying so much for a bowl of hummus and a single piece of pita.

I appreciate you mentioning this. I went today and asked to wait until the fresh ones were out of the fryer.

Wow! Lovely falafel - Edit
I love falafel so I came here. Wonderful falafel pita with great flavors. And then the pita chips were excellent!! Actually really really tasty and somehow I could tell it was actually bread and not like cardboard (you know what I mean?). Great place.

Great food and generous portions - Edit
I had a delicious falafel pita sandwich from here. The portion size was very generous. The restaurant is counter-service, and there's a limited amount of indoor seating available.

Pretty good - Edit
This is a fast-food, all vegan, small, counter-serve falafel place located right by the 77th street Lexington subway stop (near Lenox Hill Hospital and the Breuer Museum). When I first visited, they were still experiencing growing pains, but since then they've improved a great deal. Especially since most of the other vegan places in Upper East Side have closed down, this is now arguably the best place for vegetarian food in the immediate area.

Never had a sabich like this before - Edit
Tamam, is a small, vegan Middle Eastern restaurant on the UES cooking up some of the best falafel sandwiches in the city. Not to be overshadowed, the sabich is not to be skipped on, with its large pieces of deep-fried eggplant sandwiched in a pita. Never seen or tasted one like this before. Tamam uses fresh, organic ingredients including on the Israeli salad, pickles, and tahini the pitas are stuffed with. Must try the cauliflower next time. You can opt for these toppings on a platter or salad bowl as an alternative to the pita.
Read moreThe place is super casual and the service is friendly and efficient. There are four counter seats inside and some outdoor seating, perfect for people-watching. Or better yet, take it to the park, just three blocks away for a wonderful mid-day meal.
