Vegan/vegetarian Menu - Edit
Not a lot of options for vegans in this Buddhist paradise, but this restaurant actually has a separate vegetarian menu, which seems mostly vegan. I told my waiter that we didn't want egg, just to make sure. The food is fresh and flavorful, fancy plating. Somewhat small portions, so order at least one main course per person and a couple of appetizers. It's an upscale restaurant, but prices for a westerner is affordable.

Great food and lovely service - Edit
It is always a challenge to find vegetarian food in a regular Thai restaurant. During our vacation in Phuket a friend recommended Takieng restaurant which is tucked away in a remote corner inside Renaissance Resort. We made a reservation and were prepared for a struggle. As soon as we indicated that we were vegetarians, they presented a vegetarian menu with decent range of choices. The food was tasty and chef even made a complimentary spring roll for us. One of the best vegetarian Thai food we had on this trip. We will definitely be making another trip there.
