Fully vegetarian with vegan adaptability - Edit
A delicious little joint that has a good variety of the Chinese dishes you'll usually see in Japan. 100% vegetarian but the shop owners will gladly work with you to pick out or modify dishes to your needs.
Read moreThe owners seem to speak Japanese and Chinese, so English may be a struggle. However, they also have some rudimentary guides you can use to point out exactly what you want/don't want in a dish, so bonus points for that.
The food itself was great and fairly cheap for the portion sizes. It may not rock your world, but it's a dependable place I'll definitely be frequenting whenever I'm in the mood!

A total gem off the beaten track - Edit
Tiny restaurant run by an adorably friendly woman. No english spoken, but tries her best to accommodate you. It's a bit out of the way, but directly opposite Takamiya station, so still easy to get to. Plenty of choices at inexpensive prices. Felt very authentic.

Amazing Taiwanese place - Edit
I wish I had brought more cash. They only accepted cash so I could only eat a little bit, or else I would've just pigged out on their entire menu
