Serves meat, vegan options available. Casual Indian food in Westport area. Meat-heavy but does label what's veg. Daily lunch buffet. Kitchen rests from 2:30-5pm. Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-9:00pm.
They will make any vegetarian dish vegan by substituting coconut milk instead of cream. Just gotta ask them! My go to is the Cholle Saag and it’s gassss.
We came here not exactly sure of what to expect since a previous review made it seem like they weren't aware of Vegan dietary requirements. This couldn't be further from the truth. They took the time to go through each item and explain what was Vegan already and what we could substitute coconut milk for (in lieu of dairy). Friendly, clean, and a great environment, loved the music and overall vibe. Would definitely recommend.
Not my experience, they went through each item and marked on the take out menu what was already vegan and what could be made vegan by substitution. This review was misleading but I'm glad I called and found the opposite to be true.
We had a delightful meal on Valentine Day at Taj Palace. I was concerned about vegan options but the owner was very accommodating and said they would be able to substitute coconut milk for dairy and cream. We enjoyed our meal immensely and will definitely be back in the future. The staff was courteous and kind and worked very hard to serve those enjoying the night out on this busy holiday evening.
We love coming here when in the area. There are other vegan friendly spots on the street (Blue Koi, MudPie Bakery, etc)... so it's nice to be able to stop in for dessert after so many great spicy flavors at Taj.
Lots of options for vegans (not unusual), but the staff/owners are extremely friendly and very well versed on vegan and their menu. They have vegan friendly rice and bread (unusual in KC... looking at you Swagat), and the price is very low for all of their food. Great place.
