Disappointing Thali - Edit
We ordered the vegan Thali expecting it to be a traditional platter of 4-5 small dishes with rice and bread, but we only received 2 very small veggie curries and rice. We addressed it with the staff, saying we had eaten Thalis in many Indian restaurants all over the world and they come with many dishes, but he said ‘that’s how they come here’.
Read moreHugely disappointing and very expensive for a small amount of food. To be fair, the food we did receive was delicious, but anyone who eats Indian food regularly knows a thali is more than 2 side dishes.

They were very accommodating and understood vegan means vegan. The food was tasty and very filling. We came twice during our visit to Madeira because we knew it would definitely be a good meal.

Fast alle vegetarischen Hauptgerichte vegan möglich, Vorspeisen Onion und Vegetable Bahji und Samosas sowie Daal Suppe - es schmeckte alles wirklich fantastisch und das zu moderaten Preisen! Der Kellner war dazu auch firm im Thema vegan. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Had samosas, saag aloo, and veg korma. Waiter understands vegan needs- was able to make korma with coconut milk instead. Would eat here again.

lovely vegan curry - Edit
I had popadoms and tarka dhal with a chapati and it was delicious. When I told the waiter I was vegan and asked if the dhal had butter or ghee he immediately said I'll just tell the chef not to put any in your dish so I was very impressed with that. He also advised me that all the chutneys he brought with my popadoms were vegan. Would definitely recommend this place.

Indian Food for Vegans - Edit
Very nice place to eat. The vegan options I had was very tasty (onion bhaji & vegetable somasa as starters with delicious dips that was with the popodom and Thali vegetable house special - vegetable curry and yellow lentils with rice and finished with fruit salad.) There were other options on the vegetable menu. Staff seems knowledge when I asked for no diary or egg products. Nice Indian place.

The food was really good. There were plenty of vegan options and a very knowledgable staff. The curry I had was nice and spicy, something we didn't get at other Indian restaurants on the island. It was nicer and more expensive than other places too. Their papadam came with mango pickle, which also made me very happy.

Indian food with a sea view - Edit
Nice restaurant with a terrace from where you can see the sea. Located in the hotel area in Funchal. The usual Indian veggies on the menu, there is no choice for mild or spicy, so you have to tell them. Slow staff. Good value.
