Based on the other reviewer’s pictures & reviews made this place look amazing & we went out of our way to come here), but we found most of our food needing more flavor. Thank goodness for that little bowl of sugared soy sauce. 🤷🏻♂️ (I had asked for tamari or GF soy sauce, and he didn’t seem to understand.)
Read moreVegan options are marked with a ‘v’, and there are enough options to fill a table.
The Fermented Cabbage was one-note sweet — thought they might be briny (garlic/salty) — so that was disappointing.
The Veggie Spring Rolls were excellent — very flavorful with assorted veggies & crispy wrap.
The Sticky Rice Shu Mai was only that. Missed in having other seasoning. Ginger? Garlic? Sesame?
Veggie Dumplings had a soft, pleasing wrap, though loose, and filled with mushrooms, corn, cabbage & carrots. They were just okay — needing the soy sauce to dip into.
We keep forgetting that we’re not fans of baked or fried tofu, so the Tofu with Salted Veggies over Lo Mein wasn’t to my liking — though I appreciated the fresh baby bok choy — whatever the other chopped up greens were (kale or collard greens?), they had an odd taste (to me).
The Sticky Rice Shu Mei was only sticky rice in a delicate wrapper, but the rice — though there was something brown on it, needed more flavor.
This area in Albany was also on the impoverished side, and we were a bit concerned about parking (there is a side lot). However, the interior of the restaurant was clean & minimalist — not at all what the outside looked like (old, dirty awning with a sparse window).
P.S. I was really ill about an hour after eating this food — something did NOT sit right. 🤷🏻♂️

Damn good food - Edit
Delicious food, easy to read menu (although no vegan markings so ask about egg/dairy) and wonderful service.

pretty tasty! - Edit
my husband and i placed an online order for pickup and got veg chicken noodle soup, veg chicken & rice, sticky rice shumai & vegetable dumplings (which were definitely the star of the show! 🥟)
Read moreportions were generous - enough for us to both share and have leftovers - but flavor was a bit lacking. both the broth & noodles were extremely plain and were served only with veg chicken (which was a bit rubbery) & two pieces of mustard greens. the rice was served the exact same way.
admittedly, we should’ve done our due diligence of looking at menu photos before placing an order, but since we were coming in from out of town, we skipped it this time and wound up a bit disappointed. all in all, we enjoyed our meal and would definitely return for the dumplings if nothing else!

Satisfying, fast delivery, we made yum-face at each other. - Edit
My partner and I got vegan noodle dishes and appetizers. Make sure to clarify that you’re vegan and need vegetable/mushroom or fake-chicken broth in everything. If you order online, you can select “regular noodles” or “lo mein” with some options. “Regular noodles” means you get small udon noodles in mushroom broth. “Lo mein” means you get a themed lo mein dish—Vegetarian chicken, tofu with salted vegetable, etc.
