For the vegan in paradise, this is a very authentic feeling restaurant that serves meat but also has vegan and vegetarian options. The service was a little slow considering there weren't very many people there at the time but the veggie tacos were worth the wait! The mushrooms were grilled to perfection, a touch smoky and full of flavor! We ordered the guacamole and chips, the portion was generous and the guacamole delicious! We ordered a side of beans which thankfully they don't prepare with lard. The rice is vegan as well. Our dinner companions are omnis and they were very happy with their meals. We all ordered the mineral lemonade and it was delicious! The glass is very large and the flavor light and refreshing with very little sweetness, perfect!

Great options and superb service - Edit
The menu has no vegan options, some dishes are labeled as vegetarian, but if you ask the waiter, he can get you vegan tacos, burritos and baked potatoes. They make sure you enjoy your meal, so a great place where there are almost no straight vegan restaurants.

Really great tacos, but the Google map could be improved... - Edit
So, this wonderful little place is right next to Cabo Wabo...if you're looking up at the second floor of the Cantina from *inside* the mercado vendor's courtyard. The little location pin/bubble gives the map viewer the idea that it's on the other side of the block from where it actually is, and my partner and I spent a good bit of time trying to find it. But! We persisted and prevailed. Try Googling "Plaza de los Mariachis Taco Loco", if you want an easier time finding it. On to the food...
Read moreReally great vegan tacos (the nopal/cactus was my favorite). You can get 2 tacos and a plate of rice and beans, each, with some guacamole, chips, pico, and salsas, and two beers, for under $20. The tortillas and chips are great, and look to be hand-made on-site. Apparently, they also have homemade flan from time to time - a pity it's not dairy/egg free, we'd have loved to try it, if that were so.
Overall, a fantastic marketplace experience at the end of a hot day, with good vegan eats until ten at night.
Pros: vegan tacos!!!, great staff., a quick walk from most anywhere in Centro.

After finding that Skye Cabo was no more, we went to this place. They have grilled veggie tacos & quesadillas, really good margaritas, & great salsa.

So glad we found this place! The vegetarian tacos are actually vegan and are on the menu. They have a deal for non-veg tacos and when we asked them if we could get the veg tacos for the deal they said no problem. 4 delicious veggie tacos and a beer for $7. Best deal in town. Tacos are filled with mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers and onions. Loved the salsa bar which had more veggies to add - shredded cabbage and carrots, radishes, cucumber and salsas. Nothing fancy. Very casual outdoor seating but good food and great service.
