A good choice in this part of the Netherlands - Edit
For dinner they have 1 vegan starter (eggplant rolls) and several vegan main courses: Chili sin carne, vegan satay and mushroom bourguignon. Vegan sides consist of seasonal vegetables, a green salad and fries. The vegan satay was very tasty, highly recommended. The generous portion of fries served with it were nice and thick and crispy. Staff is very nice. Unfortunately they do not offer a vegan dessert, but I felt already quite full after the main course. Good atmosphere. The vegan lunch options are limited, they do not offer any vegan sandwiches. But you can choose the vegan satay and vegan croquettes on bread. Not sure if all the condiments they come with are vegan, be sure to ask.
Very lovely vibe, quiet & beautiful. But not the most vegan friendly. They have a vegan salad (with honey dressing though) and a beet burger. Unfortunately they don’t have any vegan milks for coffee.
A classic restaurant where I used to eat often with my parents. Now one of the few places in the area with a vegan option, still nice to visit with family who wants to eat meat.
I wanted to have the tomato soup as a starter and asked if they could make it vegan by leaving the cream. They said that it would be possible, but they would ask the kitchen if it would be vegan without the cream. Later they returned telling that the soup was not vegan, but that they could make a surprise vegan dish for us. This shows that they take dietary wishes seriously, as they could have just served the soup without cream. They made us a very nice bruschetta with guacamole and tasty mushroom topping.
The vegan main dish was clearly stated on the menu, which was a pita with falafel and lots of veggies and greens served with fries. We were completely full after this, so no room for desert, but they have fruit and sorbet ice cream in case we would have wanted a desert.
The restaurant is close to castle 'De Haar' and has lots of walking and cycling paths around. If you are ever in the area, this is a restaurant you can consider as a vegan.
