Nice place but mistakes are not uncommon here - Edit
This is a great place to sit in the sun, and go for a walk in nature before or after. They have some nice vegan friendly options too but the menu has some mistakes as vegan marked items may have animal based products that need to be left out 🫣 Some waiters are very helpful, some are not fully informed :)

Garlic butter is not standard vegan but upon asking they have a vegan version.
That said I enjoyed the tomato soup with brown bread and vegan garlic butter, the croquettes on bread, vegan cheesecake and soy milk cappuccino. The vegan chicken sandwich was okay but a bit dry. The sweet potato salad was very good, the curry was okay, not great.
They used to serve vegan vegan cake but not anymore :’(

I have eaten here more than 5 times in the last couple of years. Although they regularly refresh their menu, I could always find at least 3 vegan dishes(even more vegetarian)

Enorm veel keus en prachtige locatie - Edit
Vandaag heerlijk geluncht bij het Boshuys na een boswandeling. Reserveren is wel aan te raden in het weekend want het is een populaire locatie. Genoeg parkeerplek voor de deur. Veel vegan opties (3 soepen, 2 salades, 3 broodjes en 1 vegan burger) voor de lunch en avondeten.

Lekker en mooie locatie! - Edit
Ik werk in Best en vind het super fijn dat er een restaurant is met vegan opties op de kaart! Normaal gesproken moet ik echt rondbellen of het restaurant iets voor me kan maken, maar bij ‘t Boshuys heb je zelfs meerdere opties op de kaart. Ook hele lekkere mocktails en een super mooie groene omgeving. Al met al een top tent!

It took 40 minutes to hear that they ran out of plantbased milk. Half of the staff seems to be working there alone during holidays, as have no knowledge about Vegetarian of vegan restrictions

1 nice vegan option - Edit
Its a very nice place with great ambiance. I’ve been here before but this was my first time going while vegan. They have 1 vegan option in the menu which is the “venkelburger” you get it with vegan cheese and fries on the side. Just check if they give you vegan mayo, because they are not too aware on that.

The burger had a nice flavour. Great place to go wirh family and if you need a vegan option, but as a vegan i would not go to this place more often myself. Staff doesn’t know exactly what is vegan but is willing to ask the chef & is very attentive. Overall it was nice! Just one option so thats a bit sad. (More vegetarian options that sounded really delicious though!)
If you see the burger plated on my picture it looks a bit sad lol. It was nice though! We got the fries seperately so they didnt combine them on the plate. Not sure if the side salad was vegan.

Nice place, beautiful location and the staff is friendly.
Vegan options are limited and no good value. The mushroom-soup was supposed to be vegan, but had cream in it and probably gravy. I am sure there wasn't any mushroom in the soup, so I think they served the wrong soup.
Also had the "Hamburger Vegan Style". This burger was supposedly have the following ingredients:
mung-beans, lettuce, tomato, pickle en tomato-ketchup.
But the dish was served without the hamburger, dry bread, fake cheese, and some grilled veggies.
I felt to flabbergasted to say something about it.
This place is hard to recommended, at least they have some vegan options for occasions when you have to go there for an event, with family or work related visits.
Pros: location, staff
Cons: limited vegan options, no good vegan dished, "vegan soup" served with dairy and gravy
