Mediocre choc chip cookie

Was jonsing for a vegan chocolate cupcake. All they had were vegan brand muffins and chocolate chip 🍪. Got cookie. It was blah. Not very sweet. Not gooey, but soft.

Pros: Lots of seating. , A/C

Cons: Almost non-existent selection of vegan items.

Not Ready for Prime Time

I don’t usually ding restaurants for service but this place was especially shambolic. They somehow messed up taking the initial order (something wrong with their register) which meant it took 10 minutes just to finish the process. After waiting 20 minutes for a basic order- bagels and avocado toast- the server came out to inform me that they did not have vegan cream cheese for my “vegan bagel” and asked if I could make due with secretions. I told them I’m vegan, and they went back to prepare something. A bit surprising that they only discovered the lack of vegan cream cheese so late in the game.

Vegan Options Available

I really enjoyed the Vegan Bagel and cashew cheese cream cheese is great. They also have vegan butter available if you want just a vegan bagel & butter. Milk alternatives were available and appreciated.

Pros: Options available , Vegan butter, Vegan cream cheese

Cons: Burnt iced coffee

Has a few vegan options

I went to confirm whether or not they still offer any vegan options and they do. They have one vegan berry muffin that was very fluffy (but didn’t have that many berries) and tasted great warm. They offer soy milk, oat milk and almond milk alternatives for their coffee drinks. They have a vegan bagel option but they were out of the vegan cream cheese when I went so I didn’t get to try it (that was disappointing, maybe call ahead to find out whether they have the cream cheese or not before going there to try this item). The cashier also said they had a raw bar of some kind that was also vegan. Those are all the vegan options at this place so with one bakery item, one food item, and a few drink options it’s a place you could go if you’re desperate to find a place that offers *something* for vegans. It also might be worth supporting so they continue to offer vegan foods here. All in all, the staff were kind and seemed to know what was vegan and what wasn’t. The vegan muffin and bagel are clearly labeled as such.

Pros: Tasty vegan muffin, Kind staff, Warm cozy atmosphere

Cons: Not many vegan options, Out of vegan cream cheese

Would not recommend

I checked the menu online and went here because I thought they had vegan options. They do not. They don't make any vegan alternatives anymore because "they don't sell well enough" apparently. It was a few minutes after 1pm, and I was starving, so I ordered the avocado toast minus the eggs and cheese, and I was told they couldn't do it because they stop doing breakfast at 1, and I couldn't order anything else on the menu because they don't do the food menus on Sunday....... They were so rude and unhelpful to top it off. And my friend who ordered the regular non vegan cheesecake said it was disgusting. Also 4.50 for a single cookie?! Are you high??

Pros: None

Cons: Over priced, No vegan options, Terrible customer service

Adorable Vegan Friendly Bakery

Little bake shop situated in the cute downtown Napa area. They have a few nice vegan options (berry muffin, vegan shortbread, cupcakes) and I got the muffin and shortbread. The clerk let me know there were no nuts in either but they do use nuts in the facility. Muffin was moist and not too sweet, shortbread was “buttery” and crisp!

Cupcake

Easy to hang in. We came to read for an hour. They had music playing. Made for a nice environment.

Chocolate cupcakes with soy cream inside is delicious. It costs just over $6.

We got a large cup of decaf (they have sit in mugs) for just over $3 each.

A couple drinks and a cupcake was $13-14

They also had a cookie we didn't get but looked nice too.

Pros: Environment, Vegan cupcake

Vegan-friendly Bakery!

Sweetie Pies is the only bakery in Napa that has made an effort to offer vegan pastries. They offer chocolate or vanilla cupcakes with soy buttercream frosting. Though I’m usually a huge fan of vanilla cake, the chocolate is the clear winner! The frosting is my favorite! They also bake these crumbly, delicious shortbread cookies. And also offer moist berry muffins. You can also order a custom made vegan layer cake. Vanilla or chocolate cake are available with soy pudding between the layers. I ordered one for my husband’s birthday. It was expensive but delicious! In the past, they have been very inconsistent on when the cupcakes are available though it seems to be improving. If we keep asking for vegan options my hope is with the demand, they will always have them baked & available.

Pros: Chocolate cupcakes are delicious , Soy Buttercream frosting is addictive , Berry muffin & shortbread cookie are great

Cons: Inconsistent on availability , Sometimes adds sprinkles to cupcakes , Would like a vegan lunch option
