Delicious and Accomodating - Edit
We were glad to have found this place. We very much enjoyed our orders (Ramen, Curry, and Fairy Bread & Scrambled egg). The coffee was also excellent. The location is in the lobby of a medical building but it was a pleasant place to sit. We'd come back if we were ever in the area.

Flavour! - Edit
Several vegan options and good advice from our vegan waiter about what to order. They really know what they’re doing with vegan food, and a vegan option is not just a ‘remove the egg’ situation. I could’ve drunk the sage hollandaise (edit: after reading another review, maybe it was salsa verde. Whatever it was, it was green and delicious!) Great coffee too.

Wonderful place - Edit
Sweetbrew offers a number of vegan options. Some are vegetarian to start with but the staff are happy to substitute the components that aren't! I had the "steamed egg" - they provided avocado instead of egg, and replaced the hollandaise with salsa verde. It was absolutely delicious, as was my oat flatty. In addition, the cafe is just a very welcoming space with a relaxed atmosphere, even when busy.

Veggie cafe with no vegan food!! - Edit
Expensive avo on toast. I'm really surprised you can be a super busy, vegetarian cafe and have the tiniest menu with barely a vegan option & no imaginative vegan food on it. We walked a long way for avo, mushroom and spinach on toast that was $26!! Rip off. Menu said smoothies but it was just bottled juice. Really just made me want to cook up something epic when I get home!

Sweetbrew is a vege restaurant with vegan options for most dishes. We stayed in Launceston two days and ate at Sweetbrew both days. The well crafted menu is full of superb food. We had pancakes (vego), falafels, smashed avocado, chia pudding and porridge. I did wish they’re have a vegan option for pancakes because I’d definitely have chosen them.
Read moreTheir coffee and chai tea were both delicious. The chai was leaf not powder and whatever soy they use does not overwhelm the coffee.
They were able to cater to our various gluten and nut allergies with ease. The staff were really friendly and seemed to know a lot of regulars by name. It’s a popular cafe which is always a good sign but the food still came out reasonably quickly.
Pros: Food, tea and coffee are all first rate. , Staff, setting and ambience very comfy, Good location in Launceston CBD

Delicious breakfast - Edit
We had breakfast here around 8am on a Friday morning and it was packed. Obviously doing something right😄Food service was slow (waited half an hour the meals) but this might have been a one off. Chef was sure under the pump. Delicious food worth waiting for and we weren’t in any hurry. I had miso wild mushrooms without the goat cheese. Beautiful flavours and a huge serving. Amazing.

New menu has very limited vegan options - Edit
I've been coming here for a few years now and while the vegan options have always been limited, the latest menu is disappointingly restrictive. Not one item on the menu is vegan by default and the vegan options are more limited than usual.

Tasty breakfast - Edit
The corn fritters and omelet were tasty and satisfying. We liked the diversity of the menu. Plenty of indoor seating, and outdoor seating had blankets available if there’s a chill in the air.

I hate that my first review on HappyCow is a poor one, and if I could, I would give this place a single star, but HappyCow automatically gives them an additional star because they are fully vegan or vegetarian(!?). Rubbish is rubbish, even if the establi - Edit
If you decide to go, I hope you receive better service. My experience below:
Read moreSeriously over bloated reviews of this place. Pretentious menu goes well with the staff here. I ordered and paid for a coffee and sat down next to this large group of people. A full five minutes after I sat down, I saw them order their food and drinks. I watched as their coffee's and even their food come out before my coffee. I watched another couple come in well after me, and get their coffee's too. I even inquired with one of the servers, that I had ordered a long black. She continued serving the other tables without even a look back my way; without confirming that it was on the way...not even an apology. My patience ran out at about 20 minutes and I asked for money back. The barista heard this and sarcastically says 'thank you'. She was also sarcastic to me when I asked about the wifi password at the beginning of my horrible experience there. Yeah, even the password is pretentious, "it's Banana Bread, two words with capital B's." Don't forget the space!
I hope the was detailed enough for management to understand why I left such a poor review.

Not awesome for vegans - Edit
I hate giving bad reviews because I like to support everyone doing their part - however the only vegan menu items were a chia pudding or noodle salad. (Toast doesn’t count as a vegan choice!) They have a sizeable display cabinet with pastries, slices, cakes, sandwiches etc etc but not one was vegan friendly.
