Best soul food vegan yet - Edit
This is the best vegan soul food I’ve tried. 100% vegan with all the remembered flavors of a traditional &@$* and three sides dining.

Fantastic, fully vegan soul food - Edit
Absolutely love this place! The establishment is 100% vegan and has a rotating menu every day of the week. I have yet to try something I haven't liked here. The staff are very friendly, prices are reasonable, and the food is of course amazing. It is so rare to be able to find classic New Orleans soul food options like jambalaya, gumbo, mac and cheese, etc. made fully vegan so this place is a real gem and I hope it remains open for a long time.
Read moreOnly real downside is that the location is a bit inconvenient if you're a tourist and don't have a car (it's not really close to any touristy neighborhoods/attractions) and the dining area is a bit small (although with covid happening I am not sure if you can eat inside anyway now). However, I am happy that vegan options are expanding to different parts of the city! In my opinion it is well worth the trip even if it's a little out of the way- you won't find food like this anywhere else and it is sure to please even the most skeptical meat-eaters in your party.

Excellent - Edit
I can not put into words how delicious the food is here. Go. If you don’t, you’re definitely missing out. So far (and I will be back to try other options) I tried the mac and cheese, okra, collard greens, stuffed bell pepper and the cornbread and recommend them all. My personal favorites so far were the collard greens (they burst with flavor and are so perfect), okra, and cornbread... it’s all so good. I never do this, but I ate past being painfully full and still wanted more.

Amazing food and service - Edit
The rotating menu is always delicious and everyone who works there is friendly. We had them cater a large party of mostly non-vegetarians and everyone loved the food. Don’t miss out if you’re visiting town.

What a Gem! - Edit
Our Uber driver recommended it. She insisted that we go & wouldn’t regret it. My carnivore husband & I order the 4-item plates. We got totally different items. Seasoned greens, cauliflower, mushrooms, bread pudding, sweet potato, mac& cheeze, jambalaya, & northern beans. All delicious generous portions. Lovely setting - - open clean. Polite staff. Friendly owner. Great Service! Please franchise this restaurant.

EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED - Edit
Being vegan in NOLA can sometimes feel like you're missing out on the food (heart and soul) of the city. This place offered mac, jambalaya, fried shrooms, yams, jerk cauliflower and much more. You can choose up to 4 things per box and they stuff it full! It was extremely good and we swaddled out after. The menu changes daily but can be found on the web.

We ate everything - Edit
We took the Trolly from downtown then walked a mile to get here. It is definitely a destination restaurant but worth the adventure. We ordered 4 of the 4 item containers then found a table and ate family style. I’m not sure if people eat here more because it’s vegan or because it’s so yummy. If you are in new Orleans and you do or don’t eat meat, you should eat here. It’s like Thanksgiving, it’s always about the sides because the Turkey is always gross.

SO GOOD!!! - Edit
If you are a vegan visiting nola, waste no time anywhere else! HONESTLY!! Everywhere else I ate was just okay in comparison. Next time I'm just gonna keep eating here every day I'm in nola!!! I went here on a Monday and had the fried cauliflower which no joke tasted exactly like fried chicken, the immaculate sweet potatoes and incredible mac and cheese. The portion sizes are huge and I had leftovers to bring back for dinner. I would go back JUST to eat here again!

I just want to buy it all! Whenever I’m in NOLA we have to stop by. Today I changed my order 4 times in my head just because I was listening to the line of people order ahead of me. I finally decided on the cauliflower, mushrooms, au gratin potatoes, bread pudding, mac n cheese, collards and corn bread. We’ll be good for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. It’s so good y’all!!
