A local’s favorite - Edit
Even if this place wasn’t just over a mile from my house I’d still find myself here several times a month. Hands down one of the best places in town, with delicious regular options and exciting specials. It’s also a safe space for the LGBTQ community.

Updated- gone downhill as of late - Edit
Updated review - used to love this place and go weekly- but I’ve been coming less and less because it’s consistently disappointing and feels like a waste of $ half the time I go. The last time I went the food was so salty it was inedible. The specials used to be incredible, but now they are so-so. Place is hit or miss, which is sad for one of the only vegan places in town.

What an amazing spot for delicious vegan food. Their food and desserts/pastries are AMAZING and I was blown away with the flavor in all of them. Love that they focus on locally grown produce/ingredients as well. I will say though that consistently the specials are much better than the regular menu items that I’ve tried.

Really good food and vibes! - Edit
This place has the hole in the wall, punk rock vibes that I love, so relaxing with friendly people. I got the Caesar wrap and it was huge, enough for two meals, and so delicious. It has blackened tofu which I had never had, with lettuce, croutons and a dressing that they make. The food preparation was also really fast, which isn’t always the case in a busy restaurant. I appreciated that because I was on a work trip, and I ate my wrap there and was back on the road really quickly. I hope I am in Tallahassee again soon and have the chance to stop in!

Cool and Funky place - Edit
A vegan oasis in a not yet Vegan world. Great menu of comfort food, casual place with friendly people. The fruity pebbles rice crispy treats were an unexpected surprise tofu scramble, Ruben sandwich, quesadillas, all very savory. If we were local we would come often, but we are just passing through. Keep up the good work!

Super granola vegan place. Food never misses and the loud music compliments the earthy vibe. In an old gas station next to, oddly, a butcher shop. The universe has a sense of humor!

The food here was great - all vegan with GF wrap options (GF bread option would be nice). The people were friendly and service was OK. But the floor was so sticky my sandals stuck to it every step I took. We ate outside to get away from the crowded indoor tables and sticky floor.

Driving through Tallahassee and came across this place. The vibe is super cool. They have free DIY zines. They have delicious food. And delicious desserts. Their kombucha on tap was out when I got there. But I gotta believe it’s good too. Gonna try and go back here before I leave tomorrow morning.

A great diversity of international foods. Each dish is a creative interpretation of the original, prepared with great skill, leading to fantastic flavour and texture combinations. Personal favourites were the Tofueros Rancheros and the Mexican Wedding Cookie, but the reuben, the Caesar wrap, the chocolate cookie, and the blueberry scone were all tasty.

Couldn’t wait until I left - Edit
I’m still sitting at the table with my food writing this review lol everything we ordered is DELICIOUS! I tried one of todays specials, The Risky Bisky, and it’s awesome. 2 fluffy biscuits covered in mashed potato gravy, scrambled tofu, and potato hash. The Spicy BLT was my favorite; I swapped for the fried tofu and added cheese. My husband got the Mac Daddy & loved it. I enjoyed it too, I’m not fond of Beyond burgers, but it was great tasting anyway! We also got the Caesar Wrap, my least favorite of the 4, but delicious nonetheless! We’LL definitely be returning!

Fun place - Edit
A small shack of a restaurant with a wonderful outdoor seating area. We had the Reuben and the BLT. Both were delicious. They have an impressive amount of desserts and sweets ... Somehow we showed restraint and got only the rice krispie treat with rainbow sprinkles. It was a little cold so we had to wait a bit for it to warm up in order to bite in and enjoy that one!

Ordered the buffalo fried tofu sandwich with a side of fries. My grown children had the beyond burger. My sandwich was on the spicy side which I liked. They did not have gluten free buns so one of the burgers was made as a wrap.

The food we had was decent, but they were out of Caesar dressing, and out of one of the specials, so I got the Buffalo Fried tofu sandwich
Read moreBuffalo Fried Tofu Sandwich 6/10 - it will as expected, nothing super crazy but was decent and thankful there is an option, maybe some vegan ranch would elevate the flavor

- we didn’t get any sweets this time but they had fresh baked vegan danishes and treats

Excellent value - Edit
The $3 side salad was amazing, and made up for the unfortunate lack of vegetables that tends to afflict vegan restaurants in general - it was big, fresh, and had micro-greens in the mix! And the tempeh Reubens sandwich was filled to bursting, loads of sauerkraut and tempeh, on good quality bread too. Simple menu, great quality, tremendous value.

Sweat Pea: A little vegan oasis - Edit
I love Sweet Pea Cafe. Everything on the menu is delicious, but when I go back to visit Tallahassee I can't help but want to go for my tried and true favorite: The Tempe Ruben with fries. They also have daily specials that come with charming names, you can try vegan poutine (a Canadian delicacy of fries with cheese curds and gravy), and the desserts are delicious.
Read moreSome other charming points: They have a 1950s diner vibe, indoor and outdoor seating, are dog friendly (they even have bowls so you can give your pup some water), have excellent music playing, and the people that work there are super kind and cool.😄It has a very relaxed and fun vibe overall. So it's like if a 1950s diner were abandoned and then fixed up by a collective of artistic vegans.
There's nothing better than sitting at the picnic tables outside on a nice day chatting with some friends and eating some bomb food.
Pros: Absolutely delicious food, Good atmosphere (people, music, etc..), Dog Friendly
Cons: It's popular, so sometimes seating goes fast, There's no Sweet Pea where I am living now

High Quality Vegan Food - Edit
We stopped here while visiting our son at FSU after seeing all of the 5 star reviews on the Happy Cow app. So happy we did. We came for lunch yesterday and now back again for brunch today (which is offered on Saturday’s and Sundays). Both days we got the Caesar Wrap and it is amazing. It is so good we had to get it 2 days in a row. We also had the Brunch special of Biscuits and Gravy with Tofu Scramble and potatoes. The gravy has so much flavor plus a little kick (some jalapeño). So delicious. Desserts are all homemade and so good. We had the blueberry cheesecake and a pumpkin cake. I recommend both. There are some outdoor tables that are shaded and it is a perfect place for eating at this time of year.

I can’t give 5 stars because… - Edit
If it were just about the food this place would get 5 stars. The buffalo tofu sandwich was the best. The tempeh Reuben was fabulous. The rancheros were good but really need ranchero sauce. Fries were good. The ambiance and the setup was the real issue. We could hear the kitchen ladies chatting very loudly the whole time we were eating. The bathrooms were outside and needed desperately to be tended to. No paper towels and the toilet paper was loosely in the dispenser. No ideal at all. Still the food is amazing. I recommend take-out.
