Love the wide range of foods

I like to pop into Sweet Bones for take-away cakes and sweet treats but do love the tofu scrambled for breakfast and the Mac cheese toastie for lunch. Def worth a visit.

Pros: Great cakes, Lovely service, Casual environment

Cons: None

No happy faces here

Miserable staff member let it down. I got a bowl with the the bare minimum. Asked for avo! Got charged for it! But didn’t get it!! Too hard basket to try and claim it.
Cool atmosphere. I’d say it’s most certainly overpriced for what you get.
Maybe I should just go for the sweet baked goods. I suppose that is what they are prob best at doing. Still grateful for a vegan cafe.

Pros: Vegan

Cons: Expensive , Lacking taste

My happy place in Canberra

I love this place. Food was always great.
Like the atmosphere.
Staff was friendly. Nobody was grumpy when I was there as reported from others.
Will definitely go again

Cute aesthetic

The food is great but can be a little bit overpriced. The staff are good at their jobs but don't go out of their way to help you. It is always busy here and they don't take reservations. Good coffee! We love their pancakes and the tofu scramble.

Pros: Tasty food, Good portion sizes

Cons: Busy - no reservations, Lack of parking

Fabulous!

Smoothies, soft coconut ice cream and sundaes, baked treats, full breakfasts served all day, Tex-Mex themed dishes, sandwiches, bowls, burgers and more. I had the Soul Bowl, $17.50: avo, sauerkraut, roast pumpkin, spinach, brown rice (cold), and I chose the cashew tamari dressing. I took away a roasted pumpkin-‘ricotta’ roll (nice flaky pastry) and a big chocolate-chip cookie. WiFi available. Next visit, I had the Big Breakfast, $19.50: generous serving of loaded tofu scramble topped with spiced seeds, hummus, avo, coconut bacon, toasted sourdough. Filling and tasty. I took away a BBQ seitan-mac-n-cheese wrap, $17.50, which was hefty and good.

Pros: all vegan, tasty food

I'd like to give this place a Sweet Bone

Everything on the menu is 10/10. Can't go past the Big Brekkie or the TLT. Decadent peanut butter cups too.

Although it's listed as vegetarian, all food is vegan. The only dairy they use is for coffees.

Pros: The name gave me plenty of space for a pun title.

Cons: Had to visit with my girlfriend.

So delicious and filling

This place is amazing- heaps to choose from on the menu and everyone enjoyed their meals thoroughly. Prices are really reasonable considering the meal sizes. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Large menu, decent meal sizes, reasonable prices

Food is good, but really overpriced.

For a vegan cafe, it’s a bit rich that they charge a $1 surcharge for all vegan milk except soy. With already high prices, things start to get expensive. The food is good, but I resent being gouged. Rarely go there anymore.

Pros: Almond brownie is nice, They have cashew milk

Cons: They will charge you extra for the cashew milk, Some staff are pretty rude, Service can be slow

Canberra vegan institution

4 words - vegan all day breakfast. Tofu scramble, coconut bacon, tomato, avocado, hummus, seeds, spinach & 2 giant slices of sourdough. Yes, yes & more yes. While its sometimes so busy seating can be at a premium, it's worth waiting for.

Pros: Delicious food, Good portions

Great Food

Delicious 'South by Southwest Burger'! The options available on the menu and in the cabinet for selection would most likely meet even the pickiest persons requirements.

Fantastic food!

First impression was I liked the funky vibe. There is an amazing selection of food and drinks. We ordered the Nina burrito which was spicy and hearty, Ruben lovely tempeh and nice overall flavour and the favourite of the meal was the egg salad it was the best egg salad I have eaten.

Pros: great food , cool vibe , extensive selection

Cons: a little expensive (but worth it for the taste) , no table service , only paid parking available

Delicious food and great coffee

I had the mushroom burger and the veggie stack (with a sort of nut feta), the cinnamon scroll and a long black.
All super tasty, fresh and the coffee was also very good.
I wish I lived in Canberra to try everything on their menu.

Pros: Vegan sweet treats that aren't raw, Extensive all vegan menu, Great coffee

Nice breakfast and coffee

Huge range of vegan options, mostly delicious. I tried a few over the week I staued there. The loaded banasna toast was fantastic, and the muffins are great too. The vibe of the place is really cool too. If I lived in Canberra I would be here every morning.

Pros: Heaps of vegan options

The perfect pit stop

We stopped here during a road trip, and it was perfect! We sat out the front with our little dog and enjoyed coffees, Reuben sandwich and banana bread. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend

Lovely & Deliscious

I couldn't have loved this place more- the decor was adorable and the food was great. Loads of options, my husband and I decided to try a bit of quite a few items since we had a full day of flying ahead of us.
I had the Fun-Guy burger - a but messy but good! My husband had a daily special breakfast burrito with quinoa and veggies - Very Good! We also tried a pumpkin pastry/roll special that was superub, I had the carrot cupcake (loved it) and he had a funfetti cupcake that was gone in a few seconds.
Highly recommend this place!

I just love this place

This is everything you want a vegan cafe to be (except cheap). The food is great and accessible to non-vegans as well. I wish I lived in Canberra so I could eat here more often. I just wish the venue were twice as big to accommodate all the people who want to eat there. Even though it's crowded, for some reason I loved this place enough to go out of my way to make a second trip during my one week stay for work. This is probably one of my top 5 favorite vegan cafes I've been to. Please go and support this awesome cafe!

Pros: everything tastes awesome

Cons: busy and crowded, a bit pricey

super expensive

I'm not sure why this has the $ sign as it is more like $$$. The dishes and drinks are really expensive. It is also very difficult to get a seat and dairy milk is default in coffee unless you ask otherwise.

That said, they do a number of good vegan dishes and it's great to have choice as Canberra doesn't have too much else like it. But it's not much for the price and not very inventive.
