Great little diner - Edit
Centrally located, this cute little diner is a great place for a yummy breakfast. We had the specials "beef & broccoli soup," the apple cinnamon waffles & the tofu scramble.

The place was very busy when we went on a Monday morning (we had to wait about 20 minutes), but it was worth the wait.
Don't pass on this great place!

It’s so hard to find a diner that has vegan options so this was such a nice treat! It’s a classic diner feel- small, intimate, has a counter-service area. The tofu scramble and potatoes were delicious, vegan butter for the toast and what looked like homemade jam was really tasty. The vegan lemon poppyseed waffle tasted awesome.. the texture was just a little gummy/dense. Still ate it and was super happy and full😄staff was friendly and service was quick!

Great Atmosphere - Edit
This is an adorable diner. It doesn't have a large number of vegan options but there are enough to make it a worthwhile stop for breakfast or lunch. I had a great BLT sandwich made with tempeh and I'm looking forward to trying the tofu curry pot pie, the pumpkin waffle and tofu scramble onfuture visits.

The atmosphere is the best part about this spot imho! And the fact that it's a good place to go with omni eaters. I wouldn't go here myself as the food is good but not my favorite, except the seasonal waffle which is amazing! My sister (not vegan) said it was the best waffle she's ever had!
Read moreI got the tofu scramble with a side of tempeh bacon and it was just ok. The scramble and potatoes were swimming in oil, and the tempeh bacon was just fine. Not crispy and not very flavorful.
All and all, i would go back and order the waffle, but given that there aren't a ton of other options, it's not a place I'm going to be dying to come back to.

The offer tofu scramble, oatmeal, and a seasonal waffle for breakfast, which are clearly labeled as vegan. Breakfast and lunch served all day. Lunch option is a tempeh BLT. Only a few vegan options but still a good stop in a restored diner car!

Went here for a meal and had a good time! I got the lemon poppy seasonal waffle and my fiancé got the tempeh BLT. He was raving about it all week! Service was fast, very nice staff. Would definitely go back

Good vegan options in beautiful restored diner - Edit
Great breakfast place - On a drive from Madison, WI to Troy, NY, we stopped here for a late breakfast. I am a vegan, but my wife is not so we are always looking for places where we both can enjoy the food. Swan Street did not disappoint. I ordered both the tofu scramble and the vegan waffles to see what I liked best. The tofu scramble won, in spite of being a bit too salty. The potatoes were good. The waffle looked great but tasted so-so. Since these are seasonal, I plan to try them again when we return to Buffalo for the NCAA Men's Hockey Finals in April 2019. The area around the diner looks like fun so we will probably look for a Airbnb close by.

I’ve been here only once and there was a very talkative man near us talking to the waiters. Even though it did not bother us, they didn’t charge our coffees in apologies!
