Je suis venu ici en Août 2022 et j’étais agréablement surpris de voir sur la carte toutes ces options véganes ! C’est clairement indiqué, et il y a bien une différence entre végétarien et vegan donc c’est super !

Having eaten at Sushi Kawaii a few times since it opened, it is usually a relatively good meal with lots of vegan options indicated on the menu. However this time (July 2023), I ordered the veggie gyozas and after having my first bite, I realised that I had been given the chicken and veggie gyozas (which are not vegan!!). I asked for them to be replaced and they did give me the right ones but at the end they made me pay full price for my order- probably because I hadn't made a fuss about it... So if you decide to go, I would advise you to double/triple check that everything you are getting is vegan, especially the gyozas - the vegan ones are green.

I went there many times, and I am never disappointed. The best is the smoked tofu - walnuts spring roll !
They could maybe use vegan spread cheese to make all veggie options vegans. Or at least have the possibility to chose in a vegetarian or vegan options.

Cute place (kawaii!) With a lovely and funny decoration. They have a few tables outside as well, which is lovely in Montpellier !

They really made an effort to offer vegan options with tofu, and not the basic carrots and cucumber maki. I really appreciate that they have original vegan options. Could be more but it is already great!

Good sushis, great choices for vegans - Edit
We liked the place, we had a vegan plate for two (it's been a long time I didn't share a sushi and maki plate :)). Everything tasted good, and most of all : i really liked the soy pockets filled with Rice and carrots/or avocado.

Restaurant très agréable, dans la vieille ville. Large choix vegan salé et sucré, avec des ingrédients originaux (pomme, mangue, tofu fumé ou ail des ours, noix, oignons confits ...). J'ai beaucoup aimé les gyozas à la pomme.

Un large choix de makis, california rolls etc vegan (facilement repérables sur la carte), avec des associations originales (j’ai gouté un california à la prune qui était super bon). Toute l’équipe est très gentille. C’est une superbe découverte !

Great Japanese restaurant - Edit
This Japanese style restaurant is really good and offered a large choice of vegan options, clearly labeled on the menu. Usually in Japanese restaurants, you have o my avocado and cucumber sushi’s, but there, you have a good diversity of options. All the one I tried were good. I highly recommended this place if you enjoy Japanese food and want to have different options.

Really enjoyed sushi at this place. Vegan options are clearly marked and there is maybe 10 different types of sushi you can get as well as noodles and ramen.

Il y a vraiment beaucoup de choix Vegan ou végétarien pour un restaurant « classique » de plats japonais. Et tout est très bon ! Le personnel est très agréable également.
