Sushi experience - Edit
We asked for a vegan version of their sushi mix Tokyo. Very unusual tastes for sushi but it’s nice for a change! Definitely worth a try!

Vegan options, weird flavors - Edit
They had vegan sushi but the toppings were too weird to have on a sushi plate. They had toppings like corn, pumpkin and beans. Still interesting to try but too weird

Fun vegan sushi flavors - Edit
I went here several years ago and loved it, was a bit skeptical to try again since it appears to have changed owners however I think the sushi was worth the price and still quite tasty. I got 14 pieces for 155 kr.

Used to be the best - Edit
Last time I was at Susherian, the experience was mindblowing. Last time it was not best, even though still high quality. The menu did not mention vegan options so I had to ask the stuff. The varierty was alright but the taste was a bit off, I think the rice was not super fresh which is crucial for sushi. I’ll give it another try sometime

Wouldn't go back - Edit
The food was overpriced, in my opinion. Most importantly I wish they made it a lot clearer what a "vegan nigiri and maki mix" would actually include. I ordered 14 pieces, and received 12 unique pieces of sushi, which I wasn't a huge fan of. Personally, I would've rather had 14 pieces I knew I liked and one or two new flavours rather than a surprise tasting menu, but that's a personal preference.
Read moreThe reataurant had extremely few avaliable seats, definitely not suitable for a larger party. Order takeaway during busy hours, or you'll probably find yourself looking for another place to eat.
Pros: Vegan miso soup and kimchi, Large variety of vegan sushi
Cons: Overpriced, Vague menu , Very limited indoor seating, no outdoor seats

Update February 2022:
Read moreI'm sad to report this place is nothing to write home about anymore. In addition to the questionable attitude, as mentioned by a previous reviewer, there are other aspects that make this love affair impossible at this point:
- exclusionary business decisions, as Susherian no longer accepts cash
- the fact that just two days prior I was told by another member of staff that the exact amount would do. Seems to indicate they don't have their act together
- misspelt signs
- running out of an item almost four hours before closing
- unreliable opening hours, as it happens from time to time that they put up a sign saying something like, "closed this evening" for no apparent reason
Susherian, it is with a heavy heart that I'm letting go of you :(
Update January 2021:
My latest visit and recent interactions with staff weren't all that pleasant, it felt as if he was edgy and not particularly helpful. Therefore I'm lowering my rating from 4 to 3 stars. We'll see what the future holds.
Earlier review (February 2020):
Naked Fish and Tokyo Diner do have fine vegan sushi in Stockholm, but I think this belongs in a new category altogether. I would have thought my favourite sushi experience ever was at Sushi Plaza, in Tallinn (I haven't visited Japan), but Susherian is up there, if not a little higher.
Everything is freshly made by a Chilean-Swede who really knows his stuff. Don't let his numerous tattoos put you off, he really seems to be a professional, polite, almost tender type of guy. In addition to the complimentary miso soup -yep, it is indeed vegan- you will get each piece of sushi (maki and nigiri) with a different type of topping, whether it be portobello mushroom, asparagus, thinly sliced carrots, and even vegan salmon! What's more, they will be accompanied by some kind of sauce, I believe a different one per piece, which just takes the tasting experience to a whole new level. I have to admit I'm not much of a sushi person, but with this type of fare you really can't go wrong.
Cash is (thankfully) accepted, at least if you have the exact amount or not far from it. The only minor inconvenience, other than the fact that Susherian is not a vegan establishment, would be that it is a one-person operation. As such, be ready to wait a while if it's crowded... but you can rest assured you'll be satisfied eventually.

Douchebag place! Expensive and not worth it - Edit
Staff is not accommodating. As in most places they have reduced price for lunch...but not for the vegan option. We have to pay 3 Euros more for 2 less sushi pieces than the meat eaters... The guy behind the counter didint know what kind of sushi the vegan option was and when asked if it contained tofu (fried tofu) he answered: ``it can happen´´. But guess what? no tofu just mushrom and peppers etc.. not even avocado when the plate came! the meat opion came whith avocado pieces!!! Douchebag place with dochebag attitude. AVOID this place!

The best vegan sushi - Edit
This is a tiny place driven by a Japanese/Chilean couple serving sushi and bowls with a fusion spin. Everything can be made vegan and is simply delicious. Not to mention a feast for the eye! Very fresh and different ingredients, not just your usual avocado and tofu toppings!

So Much Variety! :o - Edit
I decided to order a take-away from Susherian to celebrate my birthday, and ended up sharing an "Estocolmo" with my family. The dish (containing 48 pieces which featured corn, avocados, carrots, artichokes, red bell peppers, snow peas, faux salmon, and more) has to be one of the best things I've eaten. I've never seen a non-vegan restaurant cater to its vegan costumers in this way. It's so nice to get to eat something other than the standard veg-option of inarizushi, avocado nigiri, and cucumber urumaki. You've gotta love this staff's creativity!
Read moreWhile pricey, I believe the money's worth it. You easily forget about the cost once you taste the food. The sweet, hot, creamy, and crunchy textures of these carefully prepared vegetables will make you nostalgic on the day after the feast. UwU
The only thing that I really wish Susherian would change is the fact that they don't currently have their own website. They have a Facebook page, but it can be difficult to navigate if you're searching for something specific, like a menu. Regardless though, I hope to visit this place sometime again. Bye for now! ^_^
Pros: Taste, Variety, Helpful staff
Cons: No official website, Expensive

Nice vegan sushi - Edit
Vegan sushi in Susherian was quite an experience! Any set from the menu can be made vegan. Our 30-pieces set included both expected classics like avocado and tofu and totally unexpected food combos, which were particularly good! The favorites were: portabello and truffle, artichoke, vegan salmon. Some pieces were a bit boring though, will try to avoid them the next time

Different sushi then in most places in this town - Edit
Swang by after work, it was almost closing time but they were cool enough to take our annoying order😄we got a great plate of different types of sushi, which is uncommon. In stockholm, vegan sushi plates usually consist of avocado bits, tofu bits and a roll. Susherian is a bit more interesting in the different flavors and rice they used, it was an amazing meal and a tasting experience, most of the bits served neither me nor my friend have ever tasted, even after being regular consumers of vegan sushi. Only thing is that good unusual things cost, and that evening cost me over 500sek (for 1 to 1,5 person size meal (im a fat one)) :)
