Great View, Brown Rice

Nice staff, great view in the seating area. Buffet will be cold in the evening but you can order a la cart and ask for no egg if you are vegan. Brown rice is available.

Pros: Has brown rice, Cheap, Great view

Cons: Buffet will be cold if you go in the evening

Cheap eats

We went for a quick and cheap lunch (6RM for rice and three things). As others have said the view is nice. Nothing tasted amazing but it was good enough. No brown rice left though.

Pros: Cheap, Staff speak English , The view

Cons: A little bland

Disappointing in the evening

I reached there around 7pm and there was barely anything left of the buffet. What they had left did look tasty, but I opted for one of the a la carter noodle dishes for RM8 which was sadly disappointing. Perhaps there is more choice during lunch time?

Most of the food is vegan

The staff was very helpful. They told us which dishes had no egg. All the Food was very good and cheap too. We ate here again for 2 times. If the food isnt warm, you can ask them to warm it up for you. All in all we are very happy to eat there

Pros: Most of the food is vegan

Cons: Cantines feeling, but you can sit outside too

Don't go there in the evening

We went there in the evening, and choices were very very limited then. Everything was cold, and the rice was disgusting (brown rice wasn't available anymore, too). Apart from the rice, the food was quite tasty, so this stall might be a cheap and good option for a quick lunch stop. Food was very cheap. No nice atmosphere, it's a food court. I wouldn't really consider this place a vegetarian place, as the neighbouring stall obviously belongs to the same owner.

Good cheap Eat

Very easy to find on the 3rd floor. Lady was helpful letting us know which dishes had no egg. Food was tasty and it was very cheap. We would eat here again. Iv given four stars because food was not warm but when I asked if it could be warmed up it was given to me slightly warmer.

Pros: Cheap, Friendly staff, Enough vegan options

Good value for money

It is located in shopping mall food court. The food is tasty and there is a decent selection of varioua dishes. Nothing outstanding but it is so cheap that definitely value for money is winning.
You can choose an option from menu or get some a plate and serve yourself to be changed for the quantity you took. We chose the menu option. It was tasty and fresh prepared in the back.

Pros: Local food, Big selection, Very low price (6RM per dish)

Cons: Menu is not clear for a foreigner

Great view, helpful staff

UPDATE:
Revisited Jan. 16, 2018 and sadly found prices were higher. The veges and rice plate that cost me RM5.50 in 2016, now cost RM13 (including the addition of a scoop of curry)! And the quality seems to have dropped to a rather bland level.
Downgraded from 4 to 3 stars. Still the same great view though...

So now, as far as I can tell, all the vege food in KK town is overpriced and far below Malaysian standard fare. Time to hop a bus and venture to the outskirts!

Original enthusiastic review from Sep. 2016:
Fed up with KK's poor quality, overpriced and/or limited vege eateries I opted for self-catering, and while hunting for the supermarket discovered this food court. What a lucky find! The dishes were quite tasty, and not too oily or salty. Curry and tofu/mock meat dishes are RM2.50, veges RM1.50, and rice RM1.50. So a plate of rice, curry, and veges was only RM5.50. Also includes free soup and a tasty chili sauce on the side (for those of us that prefer more heat than what you typically get in KK).

When I asked about egg content, the server was unsure so she dragged an authority out of the kitchen who guided me, while she acted as interpreter.

But my first visit was at night - when I returned the next day at lunchtime, two pleasant surprises awaited. First, the selection was much better, food was fresher, and locals were queued up. Lesson: get here early for best selection. Second, the food court has grand views of nearby islands! Why eat in a dingy hole in the basement of Centrepoint, when you can dine in style at the top of the world, Ma?!

Yeah veggie restaurant!

Veggie restaurant between all the meat and fish restaurants. The price is based on the quantity you eat. Therefore, if you eat a lot like me, this will be a bit more expensive than the prices in the other reviews. I paid 15.50 for my meal.

Pros: Veggies

Cons: $$ if you eat a lot

Good inexpensive food with a view

I went at around 5pm and they were out of a few things. They were very nice and tried to help answer my questions. I got the 9rm buffet and it was great. It's in a foodcourt that has big glass windows looking out onto the water.

Pros: good variety, inexpensive, view

Healthiest option we found in KK, and tasty, too

We fully agree with Junya's review below. On our lunchtime visit there were about 20 options, all but 3 of which were vegan. Everything was well prepared and had good flavor and texture, without too much oil. No MSG is used here, which is a big plus.

A kind gentleman behind the counter who spoke English and was vegan himself helped us by pointing out the only three items that contained egg, and assured us everything else was vegan.

My companion wasn't feeling well after a bad meal elsewhere the night before, so we asked if they had any simple steamed veggies. Sweetly, the gentleman volunteered to cook up a fresh plate of steamed veggies with just a little soy sauce, which was just what the doctor ordered.

And, as my friend Junya mentioned below, it's a delight to grab a table by the window with a view across the water to the islands.

If in a veg Mecca like Bangkok, we'd give this place only 4 stars (it's precooked food in a mall, after all), but here it gets 5 for being the best in town, no MSG, ocean views, and friendly willingness to cater to special needs.

Highly recommended. Enjoy!
