Tasty burger, excellent sides

I could have eaten a whole tray full of their sides, all very unique and flavorful. The burger was good, but even the “bigger” burger was still on the small side. The patty itself was a little mushy for my taste. It tastes like a classic fast food burger but with a heftier price tag. I wouldn’t come here if you have a big appetite since portions are so so small.

Pros: Creative side dishes, Friendly staff

Cons: Very small portions , Expensive for the amount of food you get

Not the best burger

We come from Spain to taste this burger and we were very disappointed, we had big expectation and it was an average legumes burger like other we've tasted before.

Cons: No restroom, no fries, small burger

Real hipster place, tiny, great deal!

I really enjoy going to hipster places for the special friendly atmosphere, specific vibe... not all places that are claimed to be "hipster" are really hipster. But this place? The best! You see it, you feel it, you are it.

Superiority Burger is a tiny little spot in east village, I had no idea what to expect, I didn't do much research so when we ordered The Superiority burger ($6) we soon realized it won't be enough. But hey - six bucks for a delicious veggie burger? We also tried Megamouth ($9) which was bigger and also very tasty.

It is not strictly vegan place, but they can make everything vegan, just ask.

There is not much space to sit, it "you come, order and go" kind of a place. But we got lucky and got there when it wasn't busy and we enjoyed our dinner at this old-school "folding desk chair/bench" thingy. It was fun!

Shout out to cool staff.

Pros: Great deal , Amazing atmosphere , Awesome staff

Cons: Little, almost no seating

Tasty burger

We tasted their famous burger, in the vegan version. Important to say that they have the vegan and the vegetarian version. The burger is tasty and well done. The place is small, something nice to do is to take the food to go and eat at Tompkins Square Park, which is very close. We did this and saw several people there too.

small but mighty

these burgers are reeeeeally good but pretty small--somewhere between a white castle slider and a regular sized burger. they're also pretty greasy, but burgers are not health food, people. many things on the menu can be made vegan, just remember to ask

Pros: fast, friendly service

Cons: no bathroom

Loved it!

Their signature vegan burger was delicious and so was the romaine lettuce with cauliflower bits and pickled cucumbers in a ranch dressing! Care to share the recipe?

A+ vegan burger

Definitely one of the best vegan burgers that I have ever had. If you are hungry, I recommend getting the larger patty instead of the smaller one. The combination of the patty with the special sauce is really great. Although restaurant is vegetarian they gladly accommodate vegans.

A for effort

I had the vegan version of the Superiority Burger. Firstly, it was very small. The texture was soft and pasty (except for a few nut pieces) and it was quite salty and oily. On the up-side, it was tasty, the bun and condiments were very nice. Also, the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Pros: Vegan options

Good food

Is a shame this places isn't vegan, they have tasty vegan options. I love the fact that it is such a tiny place.

Mediocrity Burger

I was told this was the place to get the best vegan burger in NYC.

It's not.

While delicious, the burger was nothing special; I wouldn't even consider it in my top 10. Sure, grab a bite if you're in the area but don't get your hopes up.

Pros: Fast, Cheap

Cons: Average burger

Tasty, fast , veggie

Superiority serves the best vegan burger I've ever eaten--moist, plump and flavorful . I ordered a burger and burnt broccoli salad to go, and got a well wrapped, compostable package to take to nearby Tompkins Square Park. Superiority seems geared toward the fatty, salty, & sweet; the quinoa -based burger has a salty , maybe miso or tamari, undertone, and the broccoli salad, balanced on a layer of creamy dressing, is topped with candied nuts . There's also a sloppy Joe-style vegan dish on the menu and occasional specials like a yuba wrap or beet salad, but not on the hot July day I visited.

The staff was friendly and efficient & the small storefront was comfortably air-conditioned with a few counters, benches and stools for eating on site. This isn't health food , but if you are craving quick, tasty veggie or vegan comfort food, this is the place.

Pros: Tasty, Vegan option, Quick

Cons: Salty, fatty, sugary, Limited seating

Tiny, Decent Burger, Excellent Side

I had heard by a few people that this place had the best vegan burger in New York. I have not been impressed by the vegan burgers in NYC overall. this is the best I have had so far here, but I felt it was small and average it taste, presentation and texture.Based on a recommendation, I ordered the Snap Pea side dish. This was actually one of the best dishes I have had in New York. The dish was load with different tastes and textures, and tasted like something you might find at a fine restaurant.Because of this dish, I am giving this restaurant a 4 star, but the burger itself gets a 3.This restaurant is tiny and crowded, so it is probably best to take out.

Pros: excellent side dish

Cons: tiny burger

Superiority MINIburger

Is it a joke?! was it a taster? please bring me the real one! Apparently voted the best burger in NY (I'd like to know how all the places do "the best burger in NY" by the way, how is it possible?!)... it might be, but it is impossible to say with that tiny size! a single bite and it's gone!

Awesome cult vegan-ish burger joint

Ok, it's vegetarian but most items can be made vegan. Super small (maybe 6 people can sit down inside) but just do like a real New Yorker - order to go and eat in the park. Great veggie burger, and vegan sloppy joes, with a rotating selection of veggie sides. Do not miss ordering the vegan sorbet / gelato desert! Make sure to ask if stuff is vegan, they have options but some items (like the bun on the burger) have dairy ingredients unless you ask for the vegan version).

Pros: innovative vegan burgers

Cons: almost no seating, occasional lines, even for ordering to go!
