Vegan-friendly
Opened 1973. A small market selling a ton of vegan products, including food and supplements. Staff are friendly & helpful. (Also sells meat & meat products.) Used to also be the home of the vegetarian Shine Cafe which moved next door and turned all-vegan. Open Mon-Sat 9:00am-7:00pm, Sun 9:00am-6:00pm.

Everything your vegan heart desires. - Edit
Great spot for stocking your fridge and pantry or grab and go picnic items. They carry all kinds of vegan refrigerated and frozen foods, snacks/cookies/crackers, cheeses, yogurt, sauces, and other packaged foods. Also gteat selection of organic and locally grown produce, bulk food bins, vitamins, toiletries/ soaps, etc.

Nice array - Edit
It feels like a mini Whole Foods, stocked up with lots of vegan products and a bit expensive. I was very excited to see a locally-owned company’s bars there, Well Bean. I usually can only find them online! So that was the highlight for me.

Fantastic selection of vegan items - Edit
This small store has TONS of vegan items. We were amazed by the selection. Highly recommend if you are staying in an in a place with a kitchen that you'll be doing your own cooking (Airbnb, RV, cottage), or need snacks for the beach or your road trip.

Located next to all-vegan Shine Cafe - Edit
While I was waiting for my order from Shine Cafe I walked into this store. It was very organized & neat. They have tons of vegan products which was awesome for a small store. Staff were pleasant also. They do sell meat and products that contain meat, but not a lot.

Small well stocked store - Edit
Cozy store with small selection of produce, lots of frozen vegan items, a variety of vegan/GF cookies/treats in the refrigerator case. Definitely enough to tide you over. Look for great local kombucha made in SLO.

Great range, but Whole Foods is cheaper - Edit
I love this little shop with friendly stuff and awesome range of healthy food. But I can definitely recommend you Whole Foods as a market with more reasonable prices for some products.

Look, I do not live in USA, and I do not want to care about who and how to get my dollars. my desire is just to get the products at a reasonable price, that's all. If I do not get it, then just go to Whole foods. I do not think you have a right to read my morality.

I hate being honest but…. - Edit
I can literally buy something here and then find it at another store for 2 and 3 dollars cheaper!! Thats insane to me! I have come here since 2002 and they have always been this way and not the friendliest staff (for some reason they are only nice to who they choose to be nice too, a lot of days I won't even get a simple "hello"). Overall they have always disappointed I hate to say. I only went in there so much because the cafe used to be inside in the back. I would recommend making the drive to SLO, you'll spend less even with gas money accounted for. I'm sorry, i do wanna support local businesses but I can't if it breaks my bank and adds $20 - $50 more to my total.

Great little shop - Edit
Sunshine Health Foods has become one of my favorite places to shop. They have almost everything I'm looking for, including lovely fruits and vegetables, plus the wonderful Shine Cafe in the back of the store. The store is very small with narrow aisles but they've made good use of every square inch of space. It's loaded with goodness.

Great little Health Food Store - Edit
For such a small place you can find just about everything you need. The produce here is the real stand out (aside from the AMAZING Shine Cafe in the back). The store seems to be stocked with a half a dozen employees all super nice and friendly and helpful. It can't be larger than a 4 car garage, though, but its very popular. We grabbed some goodies for the road after an amazing meal at Shine.
