Delicious Indian food and vegan options were well marked. We had several dishes and loved them all. We spent five days in La Fortuna and this was the best place we ate.

A must restaurant to visit in La Fortuna - Edit
We were four visiting Costa Rica and found this gem in La Fortuna town near Arenal volcano. The owner greeted us all and right away got into talking to us like he knew us before. Fluent in many languages, he was a true gentleman. We ordered Dal, bengal bhartha and Aloo Gobi all of which came with rice, rains and chapati. The dal was just out of the world, just like home made and the other two were made to perfection. The chpatis were fresh from the pan and so soft and supple it melted in our mouth. At the end if our dinner the owner who is also the chef surprised us with a such a delightful carrot halwa which was just heavenly. All in all, a fantastic and passionate chef and a very personable owner. Thanks Srikanth.

Delicious Vegan Indian Food Choices - Edit
This place is pretty basic, but the smiling owner whips up some very tasty Indian food. We were happy to see that there were quite a few vegan entrees and sides on the menu. The food was all delicious, the spicing perfect, and it was not greasy. However, the roti did have ghee/oil on it, so make sure you request it without, if you eat oil-free.

Really good Indian food - Edit
We loved the owner Sunny, his story and passion for cooking great Indian food. There are numerous vegan options. Based on the chef's recommendation, we had the dal masala and eggplant/potato curry, along with vegan roti. Everything was delicious. We ate at the other Indian restaurant in La Fortuna too. IMO this restaurant has better tasting food.

incredible vegan options and extremely nice owner - Edit
The food was absolutely delicious. I wish I could give it 5 stars. It is great for both vegans and also someone who wants to eat meat. The owner was very kind and gave suggestions that were very helpful! Trust him!! I decided to order something he recommended (dal masala) and it was easily one of the best vegan curries I have ever had.

Delicious and nice talks! - Edit
Nice little place with good vegan food! We had the chickpeas dish, with fresh cucumber and naan, everything was perfect! He even gave us a little try while cooking to ask us about the spicyness is alright or if we want more/less - the owner is such a nice person! We talked a lot about his passion for having the restaurant and veganism and he was very kind! The slightly higher prices are definitely worth it!
