Big range of vegan items, especially in mock meats and hard to find ingredients

Accidentally vegan junk food are the best. Sunlit offers a huge variety of accidentally vegan junk food and it seems that the range changes every month or so. There’s always something different every time I visit.

Pat and Stick’s iconic ice cream sandwiches (vegan version) are offered here and during summer months, I can’t help but add these to the shopping cart as a treat. Flavours include: double chocolate, caramel pecan (my favourite) and vanilla choc chip. If that isn’t your thing, there’s a variety of different sorbets from different parts of Asia that aren’t stock in other standard supermarkets.

Honestly, I can spend hours in the aisles just looking through snacks and it’s always a score when I find vegan ones. If you like hosting or picnics as much as I do, it’s a great store to find things to bring to get togethers that are surprisingly vegan and delicious. You get to introduce new things to friends too so that’s awesome.

For those who enjoy cooking, you’ll have fun finding vegan items like faux meat products, faux egg, veggie dumplings and the like in Sunlit. Tofu in many different versions (fried, silky, firm, marinated etc.) are also offered here for much lesser than other Australian supermarkets like Coles or Woolworths. There’s fresh vegetables and ready made items like kim chi on offer too!

I highly recommend this store. It’s a must visit for locals and visitors alike.

Pros: Conveniently located in Pacific Fair , Friendly staff, No minimum on card use
