Serves meat, vegan options available. Inn and restaurant with labelled vegan dishes, part of the Shepherd Neame chain. Offers vegan chilli & herb marinated green olives, roasted parsnip and celeriac soup, houmous with harissa butter beans, chickpea burger, fried basil gnocchi and garden salad. Open Mon-Sat 11:00-23:00, Sun 11:00-22:30. Good served 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm Mon-Sat & 12-8pm Sun.

Exceeded expectations - Edit

On a very miserable January Sunday, we were lucky to get a lunch table anywhere. I would have been happy with the bog standard burger you often get as a vegan choice.

Instead I had mushroom and walnut 'steak' with delicious roast shallot, baby carrots, grilled baby tomatoes, steamed spinach, chips and jus. It was really very good. My veggie friend had the same and was also pleased.

A few good vegan options - Edit

This a lovely pub with a seasonally changing menu. They have at least one starter, and 2-3 main courses to choose from, as well as 2 desserts. The summer menu has more options, but it’s still a good place to go for lunch or dinner. They do a lovely vegan Sunday roast with all the trimmings too.

On our last visit we both had the vegan burger, which was really nice as it is made in-house and comes with lovely onion bajis & chips. We shared the chocolate & rum tart for dessert and it was delicious! #Veganuary
