Non-veg
Serves meat, vegan options available. At this place in Los Angeles Little Tokyo, vegans could have the cold tofu, steamed rice, steamed vegetables, edamame dish, and 3 sushi rolls which either contain cucumber or avocado. Soups are made with animal broth but vegan soups can be made upon request. Relocated from 337 E 1st St. Open Mon-Wed 11:00am-1:00am, Thu-Sun 11:00am-3:00am.

OK - Edit
Quite a few vegan options to choose from but staff didn't seem knowledgeable about the menu and I wasn't confident the ramen we ordered was fully vegan (we asked for no egg, no pork, etc and it still came with fish cake)
Read moreThe gyoza was just OK. They never came by to refill our waters on a very hot day and we didn't have small plates to share so ate over our napkins.
Rice balls were good! Hard to mess those up. The ramen noodles were tasty.
Pros: Many options , Good noods, Not too pricey
Cons: May not understand what vegan means, OK service , OK food

Perfect for after the🤘🏽show! - Edit
I am so happy that my friend and I found this place during a late Saturday night (like 1am!). It was after seeing Decide/Kataklysm/Internal Bleeding at the 1720 venue! 😆 I now know that Suehiro is there if I need to eat something healthy and vegan with gluten-free options, even if it’s late at night! The food was served fresh, and the staff was confident about which options I could eat. And even if the selection is small, at least they are all delicious!
Read morePros: Vegan and gluten-free options , Open late, Friendly and accommodating staff
Cons: Small vegan/gluten-free selection, but good! 🤩

Late night spot - Edit
They were accommodating to us and apologetic there weren’t more vegan items on the menu. The server and I made it work. We came up with a huge yummy meal that got the job done:
Read moreEdamame roll (pickled cucumber and edamame), kappa maki (cucumber roll), steamed rice, shashito peppers (ask for NO sauce, NO Fish flakes), tsukemono moriawase (assorted pickled veggies), yudofo (ask for them just boil in water, NO broth, NO dipping sauce). When it gets to table, I added soy sauce myself. Side of udon noodle, dry added to the yudofo, making a vegan soup. Their normal soups on the menu have broth with animal products, but this way you can make your own and it is essentially an oil-free vegan meal.
Pros: accommodating , late night, happy hour
Cons: no vegan menu, vegan options not listen on menu, have to get creative

A cozy place in little Tokyo - Edit
I ordered the kappa maki (5.50$) and the edamame roll (5.75$). The vegan options were not clearly marked so I had to ask what on the menu I could eat. In the end we worked something out. The sushi was tasty and the resturant interior was cozy.

Cons: few vegan options , options not clearly marked (you have to ask)

Grateful to have found this little gem - Edit
My friends are not vegan, and I'm glad to have found vegan options here. The waitress was so sweet and helped me find vegan options here (she had to constantly ask the cook whether the dish was vegan or not). I don't like cucumber but ironically decided to buy the cucumber sushi rolls. It was absolutely delicious and I regret nothing. The portion was just right and the price was even better; six rolls for $4. I really recommend this place if there are no other options around. The service is fast and I still managed to have a good time with my friends.
