Cozy, friendly and high quality - Edit
We veered off to Vauban to see this famous eco-friendly neighborhood and had lunch at Süden. It seemed empty - no cars parked in front! - it was packed! All locals, it seemed, dining at candlelit tables. Local beers and wines, a vegan curry option, welcoming service.

Really nice place with outdoor seating, friendly staff and good drink menu. Two vegan options (German menu makes more sense than English) - a lentil curry or potato dish. I had the curry, good size, good flavour.
