I was at Southcoast Plaza shopping and decided to cross the street to try SubVegan. Very unassuming place (in stipmall). Had the Mother Earth and was delighted! Super flavorful!

Fantastic all vegan subs in Costa Mesa! - Edit
Tucked away in the lower level of a cute trip mall/food court in Costa Mesa is this wonderful, all vegan sub sandwich shop. The sandwiches are absolutely wonderful, the bread is scrumptious, and the gentleman running the shop is kind, efficient, and polite.

The artwork inside is really beautiful. I posted photos with this review. The TV screen has images of animals in the wild and in shelters that are simply adorable.
The right idea for a great sandwich shop for those who truly love animals.

This is the place to go to fill the craving when you just want a great deli sandwich. The menu is interesting, the service is always friendly and sometimes they have Supreme Master TV playing.

We've had the Divine Love (Chicken Pesto), Inner Master (Classic Club sub), and Peace Maker (Turkey Pesto). The dutch crunch bread is a little crumby/dry, but the sandwich content is tasty. Very good pesto and mayo spreads, and faux meats.

i've been to this sandwich shop maybe four times this year since I live relatively nearby and i LOVE coming here. the sandwiches are very big and filling, and they taste sooo good not bland at all. the owner, i think, is also very nice and welcoming. the location overall is also very nice and trendy, the artwork on the walls really adds onto the experience.

Love this place. The first time I went, I thought it was pricey, but considering how huge the sandwiches are, it’s actually not bad. I’ve loved every sandwich I’ve tried and they usually last me two meals! Location has easy parking.

Variety of flavorful sandwiches. We had a “turkey” pesto (divine love), a “steak” sandwich, chocolate espresso cake and carrot cake. Everything was delicious! The bread was toasty. The sandwiches were thought out and had a variety of flavors/textures.

Easy to order. Just press the pictures lol. Delicious sandwiches and a nice variety of soft drinks. They were short handed but we did not have to wait a long time for our meal. Perfect location, right next to South Coast Plaza.

Nice little sandwich shop! We enjoyed the Good Karma and Divine Love. The Good Karma was our favorite. And the other was a close second!! They are a good size and the bread was awesome. lower level of shopping center.

We live super close by, so we have tried almost every sandwich on the menu. It’s fun to order a few kinds, chop them into smaller portions, and try a little bit of each. After our extensive sampling, we have fallen in love with the Good Karma. It’s a great mix of savory with the “corned beef” and a little tangy/sweet with the “honey mustard” sauce.
Read moreThe veggies are always super fresh and high quality. I hate tomatoes from most places, but the ones they use are so firm and fresh that it made me understand why people put tomatoes in sandwiches in the first place.
The portions are huge but you can use that to your advantage! Sometimes we order the huge portion and turn it into 2 dinners and 2 lunches to take to work the next day too.
Again all of them are great so you can’t go wrong, but if you have the luxury of being able to go back, keep ordering new ones until you find the one that’s perfect for your personal taste!
My main complaint is that I’m desperate to try their soft serve they offer at the garden grove location. Please bring it to Santa Ana!
Pros: Sizes are huge, Bread is perfect fluffy and crunchy combo, All the veg is super fresh
Cons: Expensive but worth it for the huge portion, They taunt me with the soft serve machine!
