Flavour - Edit
We loved this place.
Read moreThe food was very tasty, and felt good for your body (after meals more on the ‘oily-side of foods’).
We had wonton in a mushroom-based broth and black sesame glutinous rice. The mushroom broth was just insanely good! I loved it, would order it again if I went there.
The place is small. There are two small tables outdoors, two inside and one small bar. The staff (i.e. an old lovely lady) was so kind. I used a translator app to say that this was our last meal in China and that we loved it.
Also, the price was very good! We had four dishes for ~40 yuan.
I was about to take a plane, so was expecting poor food in the next hours… so i made space for an extra dish: I ordered the cold noodles at the end. Super tasty too!

Amazing food, lovely service and great prices! - Edit
We visited based on the rave reviews and it didn't disappoint! We both had a medium size bowl of Dandan noodles (it seems they come in 3 sizes based on the prices?) and they are sooooo delicious. Very tasty and not just pure chili. Kind of deep, salty, umami flavour with a hot kick the more you eat!
Read moreAlso ordered the black sesame glutinous rice balls in syrup, also very nice! It's like having hot mochi in a lightly sugared syrup with a sweet, soft filling!
Can't wait to return here again during our trip (maybe tonight as I write this haha).
Pros: Delicious food , Great portions at a low price , Lovely lady running the shop

Cheap, nice street food - Edit
Quite small place, about 5 places outside and 8 or so inside. When the lady sees foreigners, she is happy and points to the sign "vegetarian food" (the only text in english) next to her. We were in three and tried to order specific items, let's say we did get three different dishes, and also in the portion sizes that we ordered, but it was most likely not the exact dish we ordered - communication is more on a vibes-basis. That said, it's quite cheap, food is decent and quick. I'd recommend going for the "dry" versions of the dishes (if you can convince her to give them to you😄), since the soupy ones are just too much broth. Would recommend the place in the end - of course it's not fine dining.

Cute little restaurant run by the most adorable little lady. Pretty easy to find by following the address listed here. Look for the brown building with the triangle shaped roof.

Cute little shop with great food - Edit
I totally over-ordered because there were so many exciting options and I was so starved after spending too many meals with meat eaters and being the afterthought. It was just lovely. Super nice lady, quick service, rustic vibe. Enjoyed everything: the Dan Dan, cold sesame noodles and spicy sauce dumplings. Really recommended. Only downside was that it was a bit hot so sit under the fan.

Amazing dumplings - Edit
A must visit if you’re in Chengdu and want something affordable!
Read moreThe food was absolutely delicious
And I loved that the whole menu was vegan and that I didn’t have to stress about it.
I spoke 0 Chinese but the owner was so kind and pointing and hand gestures worked just fine ahahah.
Also keep in mind that if you try to use apple map, you will never arrive hahahha, google map won’t help either, but there was a review I’ll add the screenshot I took of her name, she had the location pinned so if you are directionally challenged like me, go on her review and click location and open it on maps and it will lead you to the right place.
Pros: The menu selection , The taste , The pricing

Lovely options - Edit
Lots of options which appeared to be veggie. Very helpful lady who helped us order from the picture menu and order sizes. Delicious dumplings. Very good prices (39 for two bowls of noodles, dumplings and 2 waters). We found the location most easily using Google maps to find the name of the street

Owner is super friendly. Even though my Chinese reading is poor, she helped me out with the names of the dishes. The food was superb! I went for breakfast and took a small portion of both. Ended up paying under 25 yuan for a meal.

Really good Chinese vegan food - Edit
I loved the noodles that I ate today. It’s been so hard to eat vegetarian Chinese food. I loved it. The place has changed a little form the pictures before, so now it has blue and white stripes. I added some updated pictures of the place and the menus. The owner is so nice. And the place si nice and comfortable with inside and outside options to seat.

Chicken powder galore - Edit
This place is NOT vegan nor vegetarian.
Read moreWhile going to pay, my husband noticed a chicken powder package in the kitchen and asked the woman to see it. The package was of 鸡精 chicken seasoning made from powderized chicken meat-- not the vegetarian kind.
Upon further questioning, the woman stated that she used the seasoning for flavor -- "am I supposed to just use salt?"
My husband is a Chinese speaker -- this was not a case of failed translation.
This was very disappointing and now I know to check a kitchen before relying on Happy Cow reviews and ratings.
Cons: Not vegan, Not vegetarian , Happy Cow unreliable

Cheap and easy - Edit
Average price for a dish is about 12RMB, and most come in two sizes (small, large). Nice little interior, with pictures and minimal decorations - nothing fancy, but the food a definite winner. I ordered a dish of dumplings, which were delicious. Tucked away just off the main road, worth a visit if you’re nearby.

The ladies who run this small yet cozy vegan restaurant are friendly and attentive.

👍👎 - Edit
We bought some dishes for take away for our trip from Chengdu to Kunming. We decided to go with the spicy dumplings (13 Yuan) and the sweet noodles (7 Yuan). We didn’t really like the noodles, they taste just like noodles with cardamom. But the dumplings were the best we ever had. Very spicy, but delicious 😋

Cheap and good food - Edit
Nice place with cheap good food. Average dish costs ¥11. I ordered wontons and they were tasty. Other dish, veggies and rice, looked good on picture (lot of steamed veggies), but in reality it was lot of rice and just little veggies. Just avoid it. The picture shows that it has broccolis. The address is correct.
