Try the Vegan Beauty sandwich special with your choice of coffee

This is the hotel café for the Diplomat Hotel. Thus the likelihood of it being open for breakfast and lunch is better than anything else in town, as many of the other options close some days of the week and then for several weeks entirely over the Christmas/New Year period. Be warned if visiting over summer!

Several vegan and vegetarian options are available including vegan and veggie breakfast and veggie burger for lunch. My suggestion for a quick and reasonable value morning tea or lunch option for those on a budget (or not terribly hungry) is the Vegan Beauty sandwich special. The soy milk coffee is one of the best tasting in town in my opinion.

For dinner, Uncles Tavern is located next door (also part of Diplomat Motel). It has some veg options but is pretty standard pub fare.

Pros: Excellent coffee, Dog-friendly seating outside (but shade a premium), Most likely to be open of anything in town

Cons: More shade for those sitting in the sun outside
