Stayed the night in Syracuse and needed delivery to the hotel. We ordered delivery through the website and it was delivered quickly, still hot and delicious. We shared wings- buffalo style and Parmesan, both were incredible. The buffalo chicken sandwich was also amazing. Wish we stayed in town longer to try more of the menu.

Every single thing I’ve tried here has been delicious. Some sandwiches are not my go to, such as a Reuben or Cuban, but my boyfriend has tried those and loves them! The nachos are amazing, I always order them deconstructed so they don’t get soggy on the way home, which is nice because a lot of times places won’t let you deconstruct them. The Buffalo kale salad is also incredible, but make sure to get extra ranch if you like a lot of dressing!

We were in Syracuse for the Paul McCartney concert and finally had the opportunity to visit Strong Hearts.

I especially loved the Thai Tofu salad and dill potato salad. So many cupcake options, too!

So many folks talked about Strong Hearts so I figured we had to give it a try. I always love to try mac and cheese whenever I go out because I like to see how it’s done. So many rave reviews about the milkshakes - so we HAD to get some. As a vegan I’m used to the old burger deal - so we tried a couple of menu items that weren’t burgers that looked good. On their recommendation we got the Shawarma, and we also got the chicken wings and the T.N.T. .
Read moreAs someone who has had vegan food that nearly changed my life (not to be dramatic) and a huge foodie myself, I’d say about half of what we ordered was incredible. The wings were insane (ordered gluten free), and the dipping sauce was incredible. The T.NT. was incredible, and I really loved it. The mac and cheese however, was sub par as far as vegan mac and cheese goes - and the shawarma wasn’t something I’d recommend for someone’s first time there.
At the end we got milkshakes - expensive and very thick, holistically good but overhyped for the price and quality. I think there are a lot of things that Strong Hearts probably does well and so I think it could have been a matter of just ordering the wrong things the first time - I would absolutely be willing and wanting to go again to give it a second chance.

We found Strong Hearts when searching for a lunch spot while on a road trip. I am already looking forward to stopping again on our way home! Large selection — it was hard to choose just one thing, so I got two. The macaroni and cheese was satisfying. The Reuben was one of the best I’ve ever had. The seeded bread was awesome, and it was so buttery. I was happy that they had a kids menu so my daughter could get a perfect sized meal. The cupcakes were excellent too — perfect texture, and my non-vegan husband couldn’t tell that they were vegan. Staff was very friendly, and the owner/manager (?) was really cool and so sweet to my daughter. Wish we lived closer, but we will definitely stop by any time we are in town.

Staff was wonderful. Food was delicious! Great selection. The restaurant itself was bright and clean. Eco friendly eat in and to go packaging. Small parking area right across from the restaurant. Just a few blocks from Syracuse and SUNY campuses.

I was recommended this place by a friend of mine who’s a Syracuse native. As a vegan, I was absolutely blown away by their delicious food! Their mozzarella sticks are TO DIE FOR and are one of the best vegan alternatives to cheese I’ve ever had. Their mac and cheese was phenomenal too, and such a wonderfully kind staff.

Strong Hearts has my heart. - Edit
I’ve been coming to Strong Hearts since before I was fully vegan. I lived in Rochester and would have to work in Syracuse at times, and I think it was around 2013 when I found them. I went from stopping by on road trips through the ‘cuse to making special trips out there because I love it that much! My next visit to the area isn’t until the spring and I’m already plotting on how I’m going to get my fix!
Read moreI was hooked on the Thai iced tea for a while bc that’s hard to come by as a vegan. I also particularly love their take on classics like the Reuben and the egg trick muffin. The salads are always fresh and delicious, and the extensive milkshake menu definitely deserves a mention! My latest obsession is the Italian sandwich special. They first ran it over the summer a few years ago, and I understand it’s available in the deli case on Tuesdays, at least it was on my last visit earlier this year. I will have to confirm this before my next trip bc I seriously love that sandwich!
The new location is beautiful, and I love that they’ve infiltrated the fair over the last few years. The fair played a huge role in my transition to veganism and it is so important that there exists such a fantastic example of what it is to be vegan in such a tragic place. Well done, Strong Hearts. You are pioneers!

Great stop on our road trip through Syracuse. We had the kale chicken caesar and the chicken parm with the berry smoothie and all was delicious! Also the food is extremely reasonably priced. They had a bunch of flavors of cupcakes as well. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Love its proximity to upstate campus! We love stopping by for a quick grub between or after classes. The quality has been consistently good for the past few months we’ve been visiting. Gluten free Mac n cheese with jalapeño is our go-to! Wish they had bean burgers though.

A vegan diner, what's not to love!! Got the eggplant Parm with a side of dill potato salad, both delicious and super filling! Will definitely be back to try one of their famous milkshakes and maybe a baked good. The interior was bright and airy, and my food came out pretty fast. Lovely staff as well!

Passing through town on a road trip and made a note to stop here, I’m so thankful I did. Every single thing I ordered tasted amazing!! Ordered the Reuben, Thai Tofu salad, black/white cookie and a Pumpkin Cheesecake Muffin and holy smokes was it all tasty. The Reuben was made of their seasoned and sliced seitan, house sauce and kraut with a side of fries. The salad was marinated tofu with edamame and sliced cabbage on top of a bed of greens with seasoned cashews. The muffin and cookie were so delicious, very moist and flavorful. The shop was clean and bright. There was a bit of a crowd but the lines move fast. The staff was so friendly, the food was insanely good, and I wish it were closer so I could frequent it much more often!! I will absolutely visit again.

Everytime I'm in Syracuse I have to stop at Strong Hearts. Everything is excellent, and with a vegan milkshake selection including over 100 flavors who can go wrong? But the best thing are the cupcakes. I wasn't even a big cupcake fan as a non-vegan. But these things, well lets just say its a good thing I live pretty far away from Syracuse, otherwise I'd seriously compromise my diet and health gorging myself on this mana from heaven!
