Great food with a great mission - Edit
We were so excited to eat at Strecha tonight. The restaurant is large and bright. When we first entered we thought it was small, but the restaurant is in the shape of an L and has about three separate seating areas on the long arm. We sat in the very end room which had a couch with a low table and a chess set and a monopoly game. Our servers were very nice and spoke to us in English.
Read moreWe ordered the dumplings on red cabbage and the fried cheese with fries. It was great to get to try some traditional Czech dishes veganized. The food was delicious and the portions were generous - we sadly weren't able to finish our meals because we ran out of room.
We were happy to purchase a pending meal for someone in need.

Delicious food and a great setup - Edit
We went here for dinner after a busy day exploring the city. Whilst it was busy with lots of tables taken, spares for those without reservation were available and we were quickly seated.

Amazing czech food with helpful staff - Edit
The menu is incredibly varied with a great selection of authentic czech food. I love the ethos behind the restaurant. The restaurant itself is big, with free wifi, water for everyone, as well as the option to pre pay for lunch for someone in need. I had the bean soup and cabbage pancakes with pork which was a daily special and was delicious.

Czech food for the good - Edit
If you want to try the typical czech dishes cruelty free, this is the place to go to. We had the gulash and the dumblings on Red cabbage - both were amazing and for a typical czech price - really inexpensive. So there is more than enough left for the tip and the option to donate a meal for a person in need. Read the menu for further information.😄

Amazing! - Edit
Went here while visiting. Loved the food. Ended up going back multiple times for dinner, tried a bunch of different meals and thoroughly enjoyed it every time. Schnitzel and potato salad, goulash, garlic soup, kebab plate and no ribs in plum sauce were all amazing. The dumplings and cabbage were also good but probably too much for one person, we were lucky as we were sharing. Also had non vegans with us and they loved it as well.

Nice but too heavy - Edit
The place is very nice and also the social aspect. You can buy a meal voucher for somebody else. The food was nice but for me it was too much cheese and too few veggies but that is personal taste. And my table and at least the two around very sticky.

Everything about this place is great: food (Bohemian classics meets creative modern vegetable cuisine), staff (lovely people), location (right in the middle), mission (giving people a second chance, solidarity with the incarcerated), prices and overall vibe.

Traditional but vegan - Edit
Classic veganized dishes, very hearty and delicious. Good prices, great service, even if a little reserved. The (loud) live music is well-intentioned and nice, but it makes conversation impossible.

Great traditional food - Edit
Love the whole philosophy of this place, and the food was great too! Reasonable prices, free water (so rare!), and a chance to try Czech dishes that usually have meat and dairy in them. The best main we had was definitely the dumplings, but the pickled "cheese" was life changing. The goulash was good, but was the weakest of the three.

AMAZING FOOD - Edit
Was so impressed with the food here. The garlic soup was tasty, but the soy ‘sirloin’ absolutely stole the show. I don’t think I’ve ever had a fake meat so realistic, juicy and tender. Also had fried cheeze which was like a circle of deep fried cheeze, that was delicious too.

Great czech food - Edit
The food was very tasty and they had a lot of czech meals, which I really enjoyed. We started with garlic soup, which was okay, but would prefer more garlic taste and less potatoes. Then we tried the no-duck and no-ribs in plum sauce, which both tasted great. There were not that many people so we found a place easily.
