Just got done housing some of their food. The rooster sauce vegan wings are great! The buffalo vegan wings are great! The vegan burgers are great! When ordering online just be sure to 86 the cheese. Now if you’ll excuse me I’m about to enter my food coma.

Lots of options - Edit
Pay attention to the menu, because the distinction between vegetarian and vegan isn't always clear. I got the chicken wings and they were yum ($13).

Nice option with carnivores - Edit
Tried the vegan fried chicken, vegan spicy pickle, vegan spicy & vegan bacon and cheddar. The fried chicken and spicy pickle were awesome, the other two were lacking in flavor. Good tots too. Huge extensive menu that can be made mostly vegan.

Amazing Veg Menu! - Edit
50% of the menu is vegetarian! For every meat dish, they offer a vegetarian alternative. All of the food is amazing. I have ordered the Beyond Green Marvel burger (but with veggie patties instead of Beyond) and it is AMAZING. I wake up in the middle of the night craving this burger lol. The truffle tots are also killer

Vegan burgers - Edit
Good vegan and vegetarian options. Staff always has been very clear about what is or isn’t vegan, we haven’t had any issues. The house patty is unique (I like it a lot but it’s a different texture) but they also have beyond burger options too. The bbq vegan burger is quite good, but honestly the togarashi tots are my absolute favorite.

Terrible - Edit
Ordered for pickup. Very few vegan options. Several items used vegan meats or cheeses but then added in other non-vegan ingredients making them vegetarian only. I ordered The Cheesy. The patty was dry, flavorless mush. Two slices of cheese… and that is it. No lettuce, no pickles, no tomatoes, no sauces. Who serves a naked, dry burger? Apparently Stray Dog. Also, they put non-vegan sauces in the boxes with our fries even though we ordered all vegan items. Why? I don’t like leaving negative reviews but vegans should know this is NOT a good choice in NE Minneapolis- plenty of other better spots in the neighborhood for vegans.

This is so helpful. Thank you so much for this. Been meaning to check them out but now I won’t with so many other more friendly and better vegan options.

Great for groups - Edit
Love that Stray Dog has options for herbivores and omnivores alike! Most restaurants only offer one veggie burger with lettuce and tomato, but Stray Dog has the exact same options from their meat-based menu available as vegetarian/vegan. For example, one with bourbon bbq sauce and fried onions or one with vegan bacon. Makes this a really approachable place to bring a group who isn’t fully plant-based! Also, great fries, beer, and desserts.

Terrible experience - Edit
For one, they refused to not serve us the non-vegan aioli (“just don’t eat it… the kitchen is going to send it no matter what.”) For another, they forgot to bring us water. Service was slow, crappy, and bizarrely rude. $80 for two burgers with fries and two drinks (we were asked what kind of fries we wanted and not even hinted at that the fries cost extra.) Fries themselves were weird and bad. The beet burger patty was mushy and flavorless. Beyond burger was OK. Sorely tempted to dine and dash because we waited fifteen minutes for a server to bring us the bill without seeing anyone, and then our waitress just… ignored us to chat at the bar with other staff.

Good BLT - Edit
A good selection of menu items that are vegan or option to make vegan. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their options for vegans. The BLT and fries were delicious. They have a good beer selection too.

Vegan Bar Food - Edit
Called in a Togo order. Asked the person who answer for their best vegan burger. His response was the Spicy Vegan. In was not in the mood for spicy. Asked about beyond meat burgers and he said many of them are not vegan but can be made vegan. He suggested the house made vegan bbq (beet burger). Order was up in 10 minutes as he had communicated. Very nice size burger and large portion size of delicious fries. If you are in the mood for Vegan Bar food, this is your place.

Great service, tons of vegan and vegetarian options, good beer selection. My boyfriend ended up liking my vegan BBQ better than his beef one. The brussels sprouts are awesome too. It's a little pricey but it was worth having options IMO.

Best Veggie Burgers - Edit
Great food and big portions. I love the homemade vegan veggie burger patties. I believe these are beet based. They are thick and have great texture and flavor. Bean burgers (non-vegan) and beyond beef are also options. Several vegan sandwich options as well. They make delicious in-house vegan condiments and their drinks are very good too. Fries are great but so are the tater tots. Their maple brussel sprouts are delicious too if you are feel extra fancy. The BBQ vegan burger and tater tots is my go to!

Best burger in the city - Edit
The homemade vegan burgers are the best burgers in the city! They’re beet based and so amazing! Can’t go wrong with the spicy or the bbq! And the fries are state fair French fry booth good! I will say that the one time I switched it up and ordered the vegan chili dog, I was super disappointed with it (it was too realistic for me, the chili had no beans and was basically just beyond meat with no other flavorings 🤮). But if you like that kind of thing, you’ll probably love it!

Spicy Vegan (burger) - Edit
A fantastic bar with a full, vegetarian menu (ask for the tots with vegan aioli). I regularly go here to get the spicy vegan with fries and a pint. Their plant-based patties are unlike anything I've ever had before, and this is definitely the place to take a skeptical omni

Amazing Burgers - Edit
This is hands down my favorite place for veggie burgers in the Twin Cities.
Read moreStray Dog has an entire vegetarian menu with tons of different veggie burgers, many of which are vegan. Their burgers have a great texture, are flavorful, and have creative toppings. They also have the best tater tots around in many different flavor options. Excellent fries as well.
It's a bit pricey to eat here, especially if you get sides and drinks, but you could also just stop in for a veg snack and not spend too much.
Come during happy hour for cheap beer.
Keep in mind on weekends after 9:00 pm it is 21+ only.
Pros: good veggie burgers, beer list, vegan options
Cons: 21+ after 9 pm, loud, pricey

Lots of Options Here! - Edit
We had the vegan burger and the truffled black bean burger. Both were excellent! I would definitely go back. They have a full menu with vegetarian/vegan options. The menu includes a black bean burger done several different ways. You don't have to go "without" at Bulldog. I also noticed that the host was offering the vegetarian menu to everyone that came in. Awesome!!

Great tots - Edit
Late night visit, loud bar scene. But booth seating in outta the way front, so not too bad for eats. Vegan burger great, big mouthful! Philly cheese black bean sandwich (not vegan-able) lotsa flavor. Beer batter onion rings, "best I have ever had". I really enjoyed the salty crispy tots! All were definitely repeaters.
