Uncomfortable For Vegans - Edit
Staff were not aware of what was vegan. We were given chocolate on our Cappuccino - then they spent half an hour trying to find out if the chocolate was vegan.
Read moreStaff took almost forty minutes to tell us that their chips were vegan. They served dairy butter with their 'vegan' breakfast that also had egg.
There was a lovely looking vegan pistachio & carrot cake which we did not try as we decided to cut our losses and leave.
Staff need better training/awareness of what is suitable for vegans. The service charge added automatically to the bill was also awkward and needs to be abolished - especially with the service we received.
This listing requires an update - there was no sign of any dedicated vegan food options (certainly no Buddha bowls or burgers for vegans).
Pros: Some plant-based milk
Cons: Very expensive & poor value, Uncomfortable atmosphere, Clueless staff & no dedicated vegan options

Poor vegan options - Edit
Vegan breakfast option was 'we can take the halloomi off and the egg and maybe give you some more mushrooms' this isn't really a vegan option it's just subtraction from the regular breakfasts.
Read moreBreakfast then arrived with egg and halloomi, which the staff seemed oblivious too when raised. Cook clearly didn't understand vegan requirements as was instructed by the servers the problem.
Wouldn't offer vegan options if your cooking staff and menu don't reflect this properly

Deserves 5 star - Edit
This is a wonderful café. Very pretty decor with colourful outdoor seating.
Read moreThe vegan cakes were fantastic. We had salted caramel gateau, yum, and took away two portions of pistachio and carrot slice which were equally delicious. There was also a raspberry and oat flapjack.
Perfect coffee too!!!
Staff so friendly and helpful.
Only wish we'd not had lunch before we found Strawberry Grove!
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Friendly and helpful staff, Very pretty decor, window seating fabulous

No longer vegan-friendly.
Read moreOur experience was hysterically bad. Downright worrying if you have an allergy, based on what we were given (despite clearly saying we couldn't have).
Went back with family and it still is unwelcoming and difficult for vegans.

Great little cafe with chilled vibe - Edit
Marlow is a very traditional place with lots of eateries. Most of them have very limited vegan options. It was therefore fortunate to find this cafe with small menu with almost as many vegetarian and vegan options as non vegetarian. Pretty, small cafe with friendly prompt service. Have had many a dodgy vegan burger but this was home mad, with all the fixings and a vegan brioche bun. They had more than one vegan milk available, and one type of vegan cake.
Read morePros: Plenty of vegan options in a traditional town, Locally sourced, fresh home made food
Cons: Not completely vegan, Small menu, More choic of vegan cakes needed!
