Potential for improvement - Edit
The location is very nice in itself, but I am not sure if this place is really vegan friendly. There is only one vegan main course on the dinner/lunch menu and that is a salad. However, it is possible to make the Beyond Burger vegan upon request by substituting mayonnaise and coleslaw. The waiter was very kind about it. It should also be noted that in the middle of the seating area there is a small aquarium with lobsters that are kept for consumption and whose claws are tied together. Cruel.

Best you can do is to find some vegan friendly person that will cook you a good meal.
Read moreWhen I was working there, I used to make myself some avocado toasts topped with mushrooms and/ or seaweed.
Also, some super tasty hoisin noodles with veggies and lots of different mushrooms.
Just try to ask them to make a special meal for you. If they don’t have many customers, they will be happy to create something new, but if it’s too crowded, then I guess no😜

No alternative for cows milk unfortunately. Also, the vegan brownie is a dessert and not served with coffee. What a pity! They do have vegan options on the menu. Not a typical beach place, lots of tiles and leather

I had the Dutch Weed burger, which was served with a side salad, a red cowl salad and fries.
I got a vegan sauce to go with it too.
For desserts, there's one option on the menu, which is not indicated.
The waitress checked with the kitchen and confirmed that the brownie is vegan.
It's served with toasted hazelnuts and mango sorbet.
Both of the dished were very tasty.
Definitely a great option on Vlieland, especially because of the magnificent view.
Best to book a table in advance if you want to be seated inside.

Nice place that has several vegan items on the menu. The menu indicates vegetarian options, staff can tell you which items are vegan if you are in doubt.

Surprisingly vegan-friendly - Edit
This restaurant was my favourite place to go while on Vlieland. I was afraid such a small island would have little vegan options, but this place proved otherwise. They have very nice seating inside and a a big terrace on the beach. Great vegan options include a lasagne, a bento box, a fennel burger and brownies
