We are several meals here with vegetarian options including pimento cheese, mango black bean salad, bean and cheese tacos and more. We were able to have sandwiches made, grab prepared foods, and shop for items like pasta, yogurt and drinks to keep in our hotel room. Coming from Austin, we were pleased with this small grocer.
I ate there 6 months ago and no one mentioned the bread problem. , the veg sandwich was about 20 calories. Eating it made me hungrier. They charged $1 extra for thinly sliced avocado which they added a tiny amount of. It did nothing for hunger
Medium sized local market with a deli counter plus seating inside and out. Very friendly service. Good value. Market has good groceries, and some veggie meals (Amy's Kitchen and similar). Very good vegetable and mustard sandwich—sounds decent-but-nothing-special but in reality is excellent. Usually comes veggie but not vegan, but if you ask for it without the bits you don't want (mayo, butter) then they're happy to make it that way.
They had a small but very fresh and tasty salad bar, some fresh produce, and really really good cold-brew coffee. The freezer section included some vegan tamales, coconut ice cream, and soy ice cream.
