My absolute favorite vegan restaurant in Jim Thorpe!!! 🥰💗🙏 - Edit
It may be the only vegan restaurant in Jim Thorpe but just because it's the only one... doesn't mean it's sub par.. There are so many delicious and healthy options to choose from. They do offer other than just vegan but mostly all of the chef's dishes can be made and offered as vegan. I believe all dishes are also gluten free as well as nut free 💗🙏
Read moreThe flavors of the dishes are exquisite.... the drinks are equally amazing... The staff are some of the most delightful people you will ever meet ( truly) and the atmosphere is gorgeous with an air of beguiling coziness 🥰💗🙏
You can't wrong with this unparalleled gem 💗🙏🥰

What's all the hype about?? - Edit
So the previous reviews of this place made it seem like a "can't miss." I gotta say, I wasn't that impressed. Upon arrival, staff was unimpressive. As in flat personality. I'm a big customer service girly. Very important to me.
Read moreThe menu however, is clearly marked with vegan options. Many unique dishes and apparently the menu changes daily. This requires a menu which is only available via qr code. I hate this. But I understand it is warranted with this type of menu. My partner and I both ordered the gnocchi as it received such rave reviews. I ordered mine with the vegan cheese upgrade of $2. He had his with the dairy Parmesan and chicken upgrade which was a total of a $10 charge.
And the only option for a plain paletted child is buttered noodles which can be dairy free and you can add vegetables for an upcharge of $4.
We ordered the vegan Millet samosas for an appetizer and they were the best part of the meal. Beautifully plated. Delicious cream sauce. Very unique blend of flavors.
I did enjoy the use of different seeds and grains the restaurant offered and I wish I ordered something different.
My meal was nothing special. It did not make me say "wow" when placed in front of me. I enjoyed it. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked. There was a perfect balance of mushrooms and blueberries. The pesto was an average pesto. The vegan cheese was served in a little metal ramekin on the side. The portion was not overly large.
That's it. The service was meh. She did keep our drinks full though. Very important on a hot summer day.
We didn't order any cocktails but the menu looked interesting. It included both alcohol and non alcoholic beverages. Even some cute simple ones, like a Shirley Temple, for the kids. I was tempted to try the "18th amendment flight" but I just don't like soda that much.
To sum it up, maybe try a different item. Maybe try a different restaurant. Definitely don't bring children and definitely bring your wallet.

Phenomenal meal, deserves five stars - Edit
Rarely does a restaurant that doesn’t serve meat feel to me like it deserves five stars, but this one does. Tons of clearly labeled vegan options, all made extremely authentically and carefully. An expensive meal, but well worth it. As someone who makes a very good vegan pesto, that was a VERY good vegan pesto gnocchi…and the bread on the mezze platter was some of the most unique and tasty I’ve had. Feels like everyone here, especially the owner, truly cares a lot about creating a great meal

Great restaurant. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable server. There are so many vegan options on the menu, specified by a leaf next to the item. They have incredible cocktails and mocktails. The gnocchi was so good. Most items are house made.

Great commitment to being allergen free - Edit
Stone Row works really hard to keep their restaurant accessible to those with food allergies and restrictions. Most of the menu options are vegan or can be made vegan. They change the menu so frequently they don't print it, just have a QR code--in fact, while we were waiting for our full party to arrive, we had to refresh the page because the owner added a menu option! I had a delicious cauliflower gnocchi with pesto. It included mushrooms and roasted blueberries (odd choice, but I thought it was fantastic). You could get it with Follow Your Heart mozzarella (my choice), real cheese, and/or a couple of meat additions, so with pescetarians and omnivores in my party, even though four of us had the gnocchi we all had somewhat different meals. They even worked to accommodate the picky kids in our party, though one just ate bread. Both desserts were vegan--a cheezecake with lime curd and chocolate orange ganache--so I had both, and they were both fantastic! They also had several interesting house cocktails. Everyone liked the lemon meringue, though I agree with my husband that it tasted more like a creamsicle (but lemon instead of orange).
Read moreNote that reservations are required for dinner on Fridays and Saturdays. The place was full when we went on a Saturday in June! I'll definitely go again, any other time I'm in Jim Thorpe.
Pros: dietary restriction accommodating, allergen friendly, delicious
Cons: expensive, in demand, QR code menu only

A year later, they've changed the reservation policy: they will only take reservations for groups of 8 or larger; smaller parties can just walk in. Unfortunately, we were unable to go this year as they were closed due to a power outage.

Lots of vegan options, delicious food - Edit
Favorite meal of our weekend in Lehigh Valley area.
Read moreVegan options are clearly marked on the menu and the waitress said they could make many other options vegan, just ask.
The menu is seasonal so it likely won't be the same, but I had the sunflower hummus appetizer and Bangkok bowl meal.
The hummus was exceptional, super creamy, a unique flavor. One of the best hummuses I've ever had.
Bangkok bowl was super delicious as well.
Maybe a bit pricey, but its a cool restaurant and I thought it was well worth it

Great food! - Edit
I planned ahead of time and noted this place as an option after seeing it on this app, and I’m glad I did since looking at menus at various restaurants during my trip proved that there weren’t many vegan options in town. I was pleased by how clearly labeled the menu was and how many vegan options they had! Me and the 3 people I was with really enjoyed our food and cocktails. I felt it was reasonably priced for how fresh and handmade the food was.

Worth the wait!!! - Edit
We went here for the first time yesterday for my birthday and it was everything I could've wanted and more! We got the artisan bread and the magic black bean soup for an appetizer. The race street bowl and the Thai bowl for our entrees were beautifully presented and absolutely delectable! Thank you for making it such a wonderful experience!

I arrived pretty late not knowing the kitchen was shutting down, but the chef/owner still had some options left! Had the lentil curry bowl, homemade bread, and a huge chocolate chip cookie and all were so good. Also very affordable. Both the owners were lovely to talk to and very accommodating.

Not good - Edit
**update** The owner reached out to us and apologized for the service. They offered to send us a gift certificate so we would come back and try them again, but we are not from the area so I'm not sure if that will happen.
Read moreVibe was off from the start. Both the host and the server made it feel like we were inconveniencing them by being there. We had a reservation but still had to wait to be seated, which wasn't a huge deal. But then when we got sat we waited 10 minutes for the server to come by and drop off water, and 15 minutes later she had never returned. The table next to us got water right away (in nice glasses, while we were given small plastic cups). We ended up leaving because no one would come help us. I've never even left a bad review or left a restaurant before because I work in one myself but this was a horrible experience. I do not recommend this place at all.
Cons: Rude staff, Bad service , Long wait

You should deff give it a go. Im from LI NY and Every time I go here the the owner herself makes time to visit every table to greet the and explain their dish. She’s an incredible person. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had.

LOVE it here! Our waitress Holly was so friendly and knowledgeable! She asked if we had allergies/food avoidances so once we said we were vegan ALL we heard about were they’re amazing plant options! They’re specials were vegan so we had so much to choose from! The best part hands down was the dessert special which was an orange chocolate ganache with a vegan caramel rum topping! Truly amazing!

Everything here was amazing! The whole menu is scratch made in the kitchen! The lentil loaf was delicious as was the bread pudding. We met the owner/chef and she is SO knowledgeable. I love this place. I can’t give it 5 stars because it isn’t fully vegan, but I wish I could. I’ve never had trouble finding something to eat bc they have a lot of vegan items. The chef/owner comes to your table if she’s there and checks on you. The wait staff is super friendly and doesn’t skip a beat if you have a dietary need. The food is delicious and clearly made with care.

Happy Cow only gives 5 stars to totally vegan places. Yes Stone Row serves meat, but the chef/owner is a wonderful, experimental vegan. In this location I don't think the restaurant would survive without satisfying a carnivorous clientele. Worth it for the ability to sustain the vegan menu! Don't miss the carrot and black bean soup or the bread pudding!

I am a recovering heart patient on the Dean Ornish program so I'm constantly looking for new and different places to eat.
I had the black bean & carrot soup....an absolute must if you're a fan of black beans. The "samoas" are creamy and yet crunchy bite of heaven with just a touch of heat. The sriracha mayo tops it off perfectly.
The loafus lentilus is awesome, the red pepper chutney is a great compliment.
Ask for extra chutney.
Everything was awesome.
Portion sizes are right on par for the prices. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy change from the same old chain restaurants.
Cons: No cons at all.

Great options in this small town! - Edit
I’m a local here and just recently went vegan about 3 months ago. When I come to visit home (Jim Thorpe) I knew eating out would be a challenge. But this place is a go to for me now!! Not only do they have vegan options, they’re GOOD vegan options. Can’t go wrong with the pastas; they have vegan Parmesan too which was sooo good and actually melted! I would recommend that, the millet burger with chutney, and for desert they have a vegan carrot cake which was AMAZING!!
