Portland’s first plant-based ice cream shop. Makes ice cream from scratch in small batches without dairy, eggs, gluten, cane sugar, refined sugars, or anything artificial. Organic coconut sugar, organic maple, and dates are the only sweeteners used. Same for fresh waffle cones, and all of the cookies, brownies, caramels, chips, and crumbles that are added to ice creams. Pop ups at local farmer's markets, farms, and events. Check Facebook for latest info. Pints only Saturdays 2-4pm. Open Fri-Sun 2:00pm-8:00pm. Closed Mon-Tue.

Seriously, this place is ridiculously good!! We drive over and hour to go here just for the ice cream because it's THAT GOOD! Everything is made with real ingredients and you get to indulge without the guilt. Our favorite place!

So glad I checked out Sticky Sweet while in Portland recently. Their ice cream was delicious and I loved all the different flavors. And vegan waffle cones are hard to find!! I tried the candy bar, cookies and cream and cookie dough flavors. All fantastic but the candy bar really impressed me! I just wish I lived closer!

The texture is great. They have a variety of creative flavors. I will say while it tastes good, it doesn't really taste like traditional ice cream. I tried two flavors (dino crunch and birthday cookie) and honestly didn't notice much difference between the two. The base they use definitely has a distinct flavor. Still it's definitely worth a try! Also really liked the fudge topping.

After a wedding with no vegan dessert, we looked at Happy Cow on a whim to see if there was anything nearby. Sticky Sweet was 2 minutes away, so we decided to go and grab some ice cream. Best whim ever. Best vegan ice cream I’ve ever tasted. I would avoid it if you have a nut allergy as it looked like all the flavors had a cashew base, but if you’re allergy free, it’s amazing! I got the Sea Salt Maple and could not believe the texture and flavor!

Plant based ice cream was so good! It's hard to find places around the US that even have a small amount of vegan/plantbased options. I had the peanut butter cookie sundae in a waffle bowl...that's right, a plant based waffle bowl!! Whipped cream, beet root sprinkles, etc. Everything I wanted in a sundae! 100% vegan. We heard they were opening another location in the nearby area maybe Portsmouth, NH. Best ice cream weve ever had! I got the cinnamon cookie I believe ice cream and my wife got chocolate. We even gave our 11 month old baby and puppy some too I believe lol This place is on street/corner of the road but on street parking. Was pretty busy when we got there.

Sticky Sweet is the perfect place for a treat. Fully vegan, creamy delicious ice cream with waffle cones made in-house daily! The cones are the magic. The staff is incredibly friendly, the shop is adorable and located conveniently right in down-town Portland, ME. The flavors are ever changing but sea salted maple is always on the list and always a solid choice. As mentioned in some other reviews, the prices are a bit higher than some mainstream creameries but you get what you pay for - quality, plant based, non-artery-clogging ingredients. So save room in your belly for an after dinner ice-cream run (or just have ice-cream for dinner)!

I had high hopes for this vegan ice cream based on the previous reviews. I got one scoop of naked dark chocolate and one scoop of cinnamon sugar cookie. The cinnamon sugar cookie was way too sweet for me, and the chocolate was too bitter, like a 90% cacao chocolate bar. I couldn’t finish the chocolate and tossed it in the trash 🙁.
Read moreSince everyone’s taste varies, I strongly recommend that you get a sample of the flavor before purchasing. I did not do that and learned the hard way. It was not obvious that you could get a sample until I saw others after me do it.
