Serves meat, vegan options available. Vegans have a choice of appetizers and a handful of main entrees which include portobello steak, bbq tofu, and veg loaf. Removed May 2023: Limited vegan options.

Not a single vegan option - Edit
We came here end of May 2023. I asked the waitress for their vegan options, since I read about them on Happy cow. She told me that every single vegetarian dish contains at least butter. Did not mention any vegan sides. Very disappointing.

Vegan options are ok - Edit
They have a handful of things on the menu in their vegetarian section. Most you have to ask for no cheese if you are looking for vegan and the cornbread that comes on the side has honey on it but there are many sides you can substitute. My husband liked his meatless bowl and I got BBQ tofu. You can definitely tell cooking meat is more their specialty but it's nice to have options when out with meateaters at a place like this.

Cons: Paid kind of a lot for grilled slab of tofu, Lots of meat being served if that bothers you

Sticky Lips BBQ has surprising veg options - Edit
I stopped overnight in Rochester, NY during a long road trip and was looking for someplace near my hotel with some good vegetarian options that was local and not a chain restaurant. I was surprised when the front desk clerk recommended Sticky Lips BBQ because it didn't sound at all like a vegetarian friendly place but he assured me that they even had vegan options. Always trust the locals! This place was amazing. The decor was very down-home. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and understood what vegetarians are looking for. I chose the fried green tomatoes as a starter and then the Smoked BBQ Tofu as my entree. Both were excellent. The tofu was a thick smoked steak that tasted like it had been baked and then covered with a delicious BBQ sauce on a bed of rice with cooked mushrooms and peppers. It came with corn bread that had a crust of something sweet, maybe maple syrup. It also came with a side which I chose from an extensive list and I got the Mac & Cheese. This dish was outstanding. I know a BBQ joint seems like an unlikely choice for a vegetarian but I would gladly return to try the other options. There are two locations for this restaurant and I would recommend if you don't mind eating at a place that also serves meats.
