New chef and menu disappoints - Edit
Spring 2023 update:
Read moreTheir website touts a new chef and menu. Unfortunately most of the veg choices have been eliminated. No vegan options at all, no veg entrees, just two appetizers. Breakfast tofu scramble is also gone. At this point, not really worthy of being listed on HappyCow. A real shame.
Summer 2022 review:
Amazing food, clearly labeled veg options. Normally I'd find a cauliflower "steak" entree kind of old-hat and uninspired as a veg menu option, like the fancy restaurant version of a portobello burger or a hummus veggie wrap, But, wow, this wood-fired cauliflower rocked my world. Just a hint of sweetness and cooked perfectly. Didn't really understand the couscous and tiny pepper side it came with, but didn't care. The hummus appetizer was also super tasty, great housemade pita.
There were a few hiccoughs with our service, no big deal, just conspicuous against the backdrop of such top-notch food in a beautiful location.
Alcohol was disappointing. I really wanted to give them money for a drink but couldn't find a single thing to order. They serve a small selection of beer and wine, no cider, no hard seltzer. I don't care for beer and it was too late and cold for white. Red selections consisted of Pinot or Cab (and bottles north of $100). Really? For such modern, delicious food, the wine selection felt decades old. And adding a cider or seltzer would be a no-brainer.

Wish I could give them 5 stars! - Edit
Beautifully presented food with interesting spice combinations. Creative fusion of Mexican, Mediterranean cuisines. We had the falafel appetizer, French fries w/fermented ketchup, and the roasted cauliflower. All outstanding. Next time we’re going to get the veggie tacos which looked delicious. Beautiful open kitchen- the team is very in sync, like watching a symphony.

Best vegan options in Truckee !! Everything is made fresh and locally sourced. - Edit
Great from start to finish. Tons of vegan and vegetarian and gluten free options! The space is beautiful, the plating is up to par with any fine dining places yet the atmosphere is casual. Perfect place for a date a chill evening or to meet friends. The food is so great, fresh and you can tell it’s made with love.
