Better lunch options from ‘Steffs to go’

Vegan options sparse at Steffs itself, but directly opposite is their takeaway option which had multiple vegan panini and salad options, as well as vegan cakes and oat/almond milk available for coffees. There was nice tables and chairs outside of Steffs that were for the takeaway orders

Pros: Takeaway had multiple options, Got to sit out in the sun

Cons: Main sit in restaurant very limited, Probably potato with beans, Tourist prices

Friendly but very disappointing vegan options

Only vegan breakfast menu option was mushrooms on sourdough toast. Toast was burnt and the wild mushrooms were rubbery with sadly little to no flavour. I added beans and hash browns which were tasty. Oat or almond milk options for coffee. Really sad as with very little effort (vegan sausages) the veggie breakfast could be made vegan. I was very disappointed. The waitress blamed Covid and social distancing in the kitchen but with a little thought this could be so much better.

Cons: One vegan option only

Well deserved lunch.

Hubby and I ate here this week after walk in the beautiful New Forest. We sat outside in the sunshine with our dog. Hubby had a jacket with beans and I had a crunchy quinoa salad with beans and a pile of other salad stuff covered in a fresh dressing. There was 2 or 3 choices of cakes and selections were clearly marked vegan. Lovely friendly staff too. We thanked them for vegan choices.

Pros: Dog friendly, Very popular, Immaculately clean
