Best avoided - Edit
Despite vegan options written on the menu outside we were told by the waiter they could offer vegetarian but nothing vegan. Since we’d specifically walked there we stopped for a cocktail each. These were pretty awful and expensive to boot. We left and went to the Thai street food place just a few metres away and they couldn’t be more helpful.

Good vegan options in a smaller town - Edit
The owner was very accommodating and offered a further vegan option that wasn't on the menu (vegetable dumplings, like won tons). The setting was shady and verdant, with their own herbs used to make the dishes and a display of local art for decoration (and for sale). The food was good, although a bit expensive and a bit salty for my personal taste (Croatians do seem to like their salt!) Still, I was happy to find a full meal in a town that doesn't really cater for vegans otherwise!

Best pasta - Edit
Super friendly staff and could offer vegan pasta, risotto and hummus plate. Took the pasta and it was really tasty! They only took cash which can be good to know.

Relaxing place with simple and tasty dishes - Edit
As vegans, we adore "Stari mlin"- the food is super delicious and the staff is very kind. We became their regular guests and they've never disappointed us. Although they don't offer special vegan dishes or ingredients like tofu and seitan, you'll love their simple and carefully prepared dishes, such as: bruschetta, risotto, pasta, (avocado) salads, grilled veggies and sauces. Food is always super fresh and the taste is spot on. Plus, the ambience is amazing: you can sit under an avocado tree, sip a glass of fine wine and listen to some relaxing music...
