i got the panang curry with fried tofu and white rice and it was delicious!! the tofu chunks were pretty big and i wish they had mock meat, but the flavors were amazing. i’m definitely coming back!

There is better Thai in San Diego, but if you're caught in the landlocked triangle of University City, there is no better then Star Anise. The Vegetarian menu makes ordering vegan dishes easy. Their curries are probably the strongest option.

Whenever I order Thai food it is from Star Anise. Have always had great food. When you ask for vegan they’ll even say no oyster sauce and no egg so you know they actually understand what that means.

Veg Friendly, But Lacking in Taste - Edit
