Friendly, Fast & Delicious! - Edit
Don't let the unprepossessing look of the building fool you - this place is the real deal! We were in the area and pulled up our trustworthy Happy Cow app which found Sri Dosa Place nearby and already had glowing reviews. It was bustling at 5:30PM with what looked like local regulars. I think we were the only non-Indians in the place but the wait staff were super friendly and found a table for us. A lady at the next table helped us understand what Dosa was (crêpes) and suggested what she felt were good noob items. We ordered Kanchipuram Idly rice cakes for appetizer and both had Paper Mysore Masala Dosa for entrees. The waitress told us it was very long and it was! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal experience and will be back. It's not a place to have a long leisurely meal, more of a fast food place but that was fine for us. We left soon after eating because folks were waiting for tables. When we paid the bill by credit card, there was no tipping which was interesting. There's a huge free municipal parking lot right across the street. Anyway, we definitely recommend!

One of 2 best south Indian restaurants in tri-state imo - Edit
I understand why the other reviewer chose to live close to here...the dosa, sambar, chutneys are all amazing. Even the idlis with sambar are so flavorful

So many choices! - Edit
There were so many choices. We went with lentil donuts and I asked the server what to get without dairy and they were very helpful. Ended with a spicy mango dosa and it was great.

Delicious, but I think the oil was rancid - Edit
This was soooo delicious. We ordered samosas, spinach pakoras, idli, and masala idli (which is chopped up idli tossed with spices & vegetables). Everything was excellent but my favorite was the masala idli.
Read moreThere is a big pot of sambar in the dining room and everyone helps themselves. Free-flowing sambar!
This was really yummy, but a few hours after eating all this food, I felt ill in a way that always happens when I eat rancid oil. If the oil was rancid, it was only slightly rancid because nothing tasted rancid.
Some of the food comes on reusable plates, but some of it - like the bowls for the sambar - are styrofoam. And I was disappointed in the plastic forks & spoons.
I would definitely be willing to go again and give it another try, but I would bring my own metal forks & spoons!
Pros: delicious, affordable, south Indian
Cons: styrofoam , plastic spoons
