Minty Chocolate muffin was hot fire flames. First off, it squidged when I squeezed it in a soft and delicious fashion. It was half shiny/matte finish on the top with a dollop of chocolate ganache in the center. The muffin was moist and heavenly chocolaty. The stall was colourful and stocked with all manner of edibles, complete with descriptive labels! There was a real plethora of baked/raw sweet and savoury goods, also salads and hot food were on offer. Sellers were lovely.

So pleased these guys now have a permanent home in Tynemouth Station. The food is amazing and I always end up buying loads to take away. A lovely couple that run the place too, really welcoming.

It’s Hip to be Square - Edit
Really impressive and lovingly designed little cafe tucked inside the retail units at the picturesque Tynemouth Metro Station. Instantly loved the feel of this place and the warm welcome received from staff. Picked up a couple walnut and carrot muffins with a divine iced topping. I am now absolutely desperate to return and try some of the fantastic savoury options I’ve heard so much about and seen on social media.

I think I had almost everything Square Roots offers, and I was never disappointed. I love love their chocolate orange muffins, and their sloppy joe's nachos too! The food has always been perfectly cooked and super tasty, I can't wait to visit their new place!

Read moreThe coupe who run the stall are so lovely & well done to them for going to Tynemouth Market very weekend in all sorts or weather! They also take the time to actually talk with their customers.
I have had the Sloppy Joe before tastes amazing & very filing!
The Vegan cheese & caramelised onions are grate & huge!
The prices are good too.
Pros: Lovely friendly staff., Good food , Nice prices.

Brilliant vegan food stall in Market - Edit
We loved it. We visited as a family if four two small children, two adults. She even offered my son a free small cake which he chose not to eat but my daughter did when she woke from her nap 👌 The owners were very friendly. We ordered a good range off the menu and it was all delicious!! We will definitely visit again if we are in the area!! Thanks 😊

When we visited recently we ordered the sloppy Joe wrap with cous cous, salad, salsa and hot sauce (£3.50) and nachos with sloppy Joes chilli, cheese, tomato (£4). The sloppy Joe filling was so flavoursome and the hot sauce added a nice 'kick' to to the delicious cous cous wrap. The nachos were the star of the show though with such of depth of flavour and spice and a refreshing salsa and tasty cheese on top. We also bought two date and walnut scones (£1.50) with vegan butter, which were also very tasty. I love this stall and I cannot recommend Square Roots enough. The food and staff are excellent. It really is a must visit for everyone.

The chocolate muffins are to die for. The hearty soups, chillis, currys are delicious. A perfect lunch out at the market.... we loved it, my meat head brother loved it... I'll drive far to go to lunch here!!!!
