Vegan dishes and dishes with a vegan option are marked on the menu and include various curries, noodle dishes and stir fries. NOTE: Menu states that vegetarian dishes may contain fish sauce or oyster sauce. Also reported tofu is fried in same oil as non-vegan products. Located at St Clair beach. Open Mon-Sun 5:00pm-9:30pm, Fri-Sun 12:00pm-2:00pm.

I really enjoyed the food, and the service was surprisingly fast for a busy restaurant, in my opinion!
Read moreI had the vegan red duck curry, I didn't know what to expect tbh but it sure was tasty! My partner had the veg massaman curry which he also enjoyed.
It's good that they are pretty flexible with vegan-ising their dishes, so don't be afraid to ask.
View was gorgeous, and that also plays a part in the pricing of course. But nonetheless, a really nice experience. Great for an occasion!

The vegan red Duck Curry was amazing. Would definitely have it again if back in Dunedin. The view is amazing and the place gets full pretty easily.

You can dine with great a ocean view, and that is what you pay for. There are a few vegan options, and they seem hit and miss. It's nice that the mango lassi is rich and thick, as is the curry, but don't bother with the stir-fry. It wasn't even full when we eventually ordered, yet the service was very slow, and we almost decided to pay for the drink and not order food.
Read moreThe server told us they made the curry to order, so could decide how spicy to make it. This is definitely not true, as they use a paste, so check with the cook if you are worried about any ingredients.

We took a drive out to st Clair on a beautiful and clear but freezing cold and windy day and decided to stick around for an early dinner at spirit house. Great decision. It was so cosy and warm inside and we had a beautiful view of the beach. The vegan duck curry was amazing and I can highly recommend the fried dumplings as a starter (they were crispy and tasted like a cross between wontons and dumplings). As we dined the place packed out - it seems to be very popular, lucky we got in early. I'll definitely go back here on my next trip to dunedin.

A restaurant with a good atmosphere and some delicious vegan options. The Vegan Red Duck Curry is very, very good. Probably a good place for a date or a romantic dinner - though it can be busy at peak times.
